Hi, I am building a Ferrari 410S #0598 1st in Palm Springs driven by Carroll Shelby and I am looking for pictures . Can you help me ???? Thanks
51S yellow showcar, postcard of it at that museum near Cannes bought when I visited 24 years or so ago. Best regards, Marc Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you Michael: yes it is. All I did was buy the postcard! There was a photoshoot of that car, done when it was new, next to what I think were ancient Etruscan peasant homes (round, in rough stone) I wish I could trace those... Also, as I mentioned before, Jess Pourret told me he saw this car or an identical one painted blue as a running i.e. functioning car (and he was of course NOT confusing it with the Modulo) another mystery as this one was supposed to be a non running show car! Best regards, Marc
you can find great shots of the car in "mythos ferrari" by antoine prunet, pics by peter vann (one of the greatest car photoghaphers ever imho). never seen pics of the car in blue.
Hello Michael: Yes I have seen those. There are no photos as far as I know, of the car (or a secret twin) in blue and like others I would think it is a tall story if it weren't for the fact that Jess Pourret is obviously a great expert and I beleive him: a tantalizing mystery! Best regards, Marc
Here is a half Ferrari effort, the Alfa Indy program. The press shots are from 1989 press pack and the "action shot" I took at Road America in 1991. I also include a shot of the Art Sport F40LM I also took at RA, but in 1990. It almost won the race, but had to settle for 2nd place. I like the car better without the cheek wheel flares. I did a decal sheet for the F40LM with Studio 27 and UMI back in the mid 1990's. Tom Tanner/SD P.S. Private us only.
