Whats with the new spelling "Panthera", like if you said Pantera with a mouth full of peanut butter.

Looks like a good amateur 3D design.

a few years back Tom Tjaarda said that De Tomaso had no interest in a new Pantera

it would be nice if that changed

This is not a proposed Pantera. This is just an independent artist's effort. In no way is this involved in any serious consideration. Even more so, DeTomaso SpA has been out of business for two or three years.

Yeah my heart skipped a beat when I first saw this about 6-8 months ago I think. I would have camped out a month in advance for that one.

I know it would be a stretch, but a good body man could take an old tired Pantera and perhaps 'mod' it into that....just a thought, it looks a LOT like the original....

Beautfil car...but considering the history, it would never be built.

It has been discussed that it could have been built by Ford on the now discontinued Ford GT platform...great idea IMHO but considering where Ford is at presently this will never happen. Would have have been something to see, as the artist did a really good job with it.

    You're kidding... right?
Where are you going to find a Pantera owner that would modify his Pantera?

This is a great update of the original. But it should have stayed true to the original and hidden the gas cap. It's too IN YOUR FACE. I too wish someone would produce this. It looks too good not to be on the road. I'd even say a reputable kit car company, like Superformance, should buy the design and get this thing out there.

Looks nice but, like so many new designs, it lacks the 'lightness' and elegance of the original.

I agree with you that it's bottom heavy. There could be a bit more air between the bottom of the car and the ground. But maybe it's for ground effects? Anyways, a Boxer paint job might help a lot.
