it looks very nice in this form: much better than the "ZN" form ;)

and from the old pics i have seen of this car it also looks really much like it was when new ( even the steering wheel and air filters for what i remember: great job!)

It was my intention to drive Miura 5076 to the LA CONCOURS. I spent 4 days cleaning the car, and at the last minute decided not to drive it. My buddy had an old Uhaul, so we made due. We will not be doing that again. However, I thought it an interesting picture to see a million dollar car on a uhaul trailer. I have ordered a proper trailer for the car. It will take some of the excitement out of loading and unloading the car!

So... I hung around the Miura Prototype until it was being judged and opened up at Pebble Beach. Fortunately, the owners and judges (which included Balboni and Goodfellow) didn't mind me poking around.

I managed to glean some neat info:The prototype still has its original interior and is very different from the production models. The body is actually slimmer and shorter than the production version. Other detail differences are found all over the car.

Some of these pics I haven't posted anywhere else.

As we may post R8 and even Pork: the white Bizza is worth a mention. Any chance of a glance?

No R8 or Porsche on this thread. That was somewhere else. The white car you mention is not a Bizzarrini. Its a Lamborghini. But its not a Miura. So OT here...

Great shots! Wanna fill us in on the type and location of the reinforced chassis bits?

Gary will know... I wasn't there when the chassis was bared but but I am informed that it formidably buttressed. Bertone built the thing as a show car but when Radtke commissioned Lamborghini & Bertone to turn this into a zinc car under Ford stylist John Foster's supervision, it was made clear that the car would be much-driven and that fact combined with the knowledge that the zinc additions would dramatically add to the weight of the car, caused them to buttress the chassis.

I dove it yesterday, having last driven it in early 2007 with all its zinc fare, and all I can say is that it is .... well, LIGHT!
