This waiting is driving me nuts, I wanted to play it today! Hopefully I'll find a copy tomorrow if it's not sold out. (EBGames, Target, Walmart, etc...)

I just picked up my copy from Toys R Us, that was the only place that had it in stock. EBGames, Target, & Walmart would not unpack them until later or when their shipments came in.

The one Best Buy in the greater Kansas City (Kansas side) that has them is the one at 95th and Quivira. I ran up there on lunch. None on the shelves. The kid working in video games said he'd check the system. System said they had it... He went to the back and opened the box. He said he wasn't sure how many pre-orders they had, but went ahead and let me buy it. He had to walk it up front, since there was no security thing on it yet.

So, here I sit, game in hand - at work :(

Any new on the Wii version in Europe? Saw the PS3 in the store and got the DS version already (and finished it already during vacation :D)

I have to get back to work but first impressions are ok. Graphics are very arcade like. Its not a bad thing but not what i'm used to (nothing like GT5). Controls are good, sound effects are decent. Car choice is excellent and the views are good

It plays like a newer version of the 355 Challenge game that i had for PS2

So if this games graphics are on the arcade like side, whats so good about the game to make it 'The game your 360 couldn't do'?

    Codemasters should really be AFRAID!!!

...that they didn't produce enough copies of GRID to deal with the trade-ins they're going to get for this game. I may keep it for the novelty (MAY!), but it is generations behind the latest racers. The car physics are previous gen, the engine sounds are previous gen, and the graphics are brushed up PS1 quality. This was a cheap effort to take advantage of the Ferrari crowd's loyalty to the marque.

I'll try to give it a chance, but first impressions are usually correct. This game is no comparison to Forza 2 (or Forza for that matter), GT 5, GRID, even PGR4.

I'm enjoying it so far, one thing I would have added would wind noise at high speeds. It's hard to tell if your in a draft behind an opponent is taking effect. Also braking is a bit tricky for me but I'm getting the hang of it. I'm too used to GT5 & Grids braking set up.

    More later.

Plus force feedback. IMHO the single most important decisive factor for any racing game.

Forza2 is visual masturbation, but not racing. And before you send me a hatemail: I have a X360 and Forza2.

Hmm. I'll have to see for myself, but it is hard to believe that the graphics are so bad: They do support 1080p.

Really cool game, I just need to optimize my TV (Wii graphics (Really want PS3 graphics!)) for best graphics. Very realistic racing content! Where do you enter the code for the 599???

I'm loving this game. Im think to the person complaining about graphics, you need a better tv Im playing in 1080 on a 65" and the game looks amazing. I would prefer more GT5 driving feel but its allot of fun.

Almost forgot you do it on the main screen then go to where you buy cars and its free. I found it really hard to control.

More like I'm comparing it other recent releases, 1990 Sony Wega aside (j/k) The driving feel is probably the biggest complaint, but it just has the look of the older generation games. I'm glad you like the sound quality, but it's ABSOLUTELY not up to snuff imo. I expect to hear the distinctive sound of Ferrari engines in a game for the marque. It's also not photo-realistic like F1 and the physics feel SOOO much slower than GRID. Like I said, maybe I'm a victim of my own expectations, but my initial impression is that it left me short. I'll check it out some more tonight to see if it appeals to me like it does the rest of you. Trust me, I want to like it.

Maybe you haven't played any of the other games I'm referring to.
