Melbourne Maserati owners?

Retail $328.5k plus very expensive options. My car is lightly optioned and full retail OTR woud come to $370k. The base 4.2 ltr is now $298.8k plus the same expensive option pricing. My old car was $310k OTR off a base of $292k before options. Maserati has minimised the cost of the increased LCT by stripping some of the standard features out of the car- skyhook and tyre pressure sensors amongst other things.

 

good value compared to the Ferrari cars.

not that it matters but theres no S badge on it, so i assume no one will be able to tell the difference unless you put the foot down?

The wheels are nice, the spokes look like the maserati trident, thats a nice touch.

 

The sills look different, probably easier to tell on a lighter coloured car.

 

External differences are:

Wheels and bigger brakes/Discs
Larger Lip spoiler on rear boot
Different side skirts
Maserati Trident badges have Red stripes
Larger single exhaust pipes on each side.
I think there might normally be a red "S" badge at the rear; but I could be wrong.

Internally:

No gear shifter
Bigger paddles for gearchange
2 buttons on centre console for selection of first and reverse
Seats have Alacantra or optional pig skin inserts in centre.

The money obviously goes into the 4.7 ltr engine and different drivetrain. The gearbox is now in the rear too, which changes the weight distribution.

 

ahhhh.....that should make quite a difference. didn't know that.

Unlikely, it's still a land yacht that is totally unsuited to that sort of driving- despite the sound track!

Yeah, a Bentley Brooklands looks like a Rolls Royce to the average wild west yobbo. Love to have that parked out back of work.......not.

 

and a massa does not stand out.
I've never had a Bentley scratched often park in side streets, but other cars yep damaged.

 

Nobody knows what it is. I have never had anything damaged- yet. The car that created the biggest interest in my experience was my old WRX which I thought was kind of strange.
