For me 355 is the best shape for a Ferrari. 355 is wonderfull in red.
and a Ferrari must be beautifull
in red !! you can buy in any color
but a real beautifull Ferrari is perfect in RED.
360 and 430 are fine cars BUT
they are not beautifull in RED.
I prefer 360 and 430 in other colors.
So the real best shape is 355 for me.
    Ciao

Ah, CS beating Scuderia & 360 beating F430, so I guess I am not alone in that sentiment. Though I don't know what to make of the 355 - love the design but I like the clear engine cover on the 360. At this point flip up headlights seems pretty old school. I would put the Dino 246GT on top.

This poll proves that we are faithful to what we own and love.

Right now there are more CS owners on the board than there are Scuderia owners. Therefore, all the support comes for the CS from the devoted.

Once there are more Scuderia owners on here than CS owners, the Scuderia will be the favorite, and whatever comes after the Scuderia will be the frowned-upon "I know it's better in every respect, but it's just not as lovely as my Scuderia" entrant. By that time, the CS will be proverbial "red-headed step-child" -- unwanted and unloved. Then we'll need to wait another 30 years or so (if gasoline can still be purchased) for the CS to be appreciated again, lovingly restored, purchased by a collector for the occasional vintage rally, and for the rest of its days in retirement spent dreaming of all the days on the track and in the mountain twisties ...

+1 ...... but if since this poll is in the 360/430 section it would tend to lean toward the CS/Scuderia. Maybe this same poll should be in the 'not model specific' for a polling of general ferrari enthusiasts. Though personally I would still agree the CS is a great looking Ferrari ... :).

I think the poll was open to all 360 and 430 owners and anyone else who cared to cast their vote.So I don't agree that the stradale owners have cornered the market as far as the voting was concerned.
The poll simply points out that the stradale is the best looking of the group.
In general I don't see the true ferrarista ever considering the stradale
as you put "unwanted and unloved"
I do believe the stradale was the first of a line of modern day "street racers" which ferrari continuing to produce with great success hence the scuderia.
I believe other F-chatters will agree when I say that the Challenge Stradale has never had to wait to be appreciated...
    regards
    Frank

I "had" a Stradale............and now have a Scuderia. Looks wise, the Stradale has it over the Scuderia. No question. Its esthetically more pleasing.......more "organic" if you will. Theres not a bad angle on the Stradale, whether you look at it from near or far. Quite possibly one of the most beautiful modern day Ferraris ever built. That said, the Scud has it over the CS in performance by leaps and bounds, and then some. Amazing what technology can do. Although cut from the same generic shape, the angles make it a harder sell as far as beauty goes. Its a more muscular and aggressive package. One doesn't warm up to it quite as fast as the CS...........................thus I have a Stradale on its way............. And this time, its not going anywhere! I think they will complement each other very well.

The CS owners on this forum are fervently passionate about their favorite car. My honest guess is that the difference between the Scuderia and CS choices are predominately made up by CS owners.

No, it points out that the subjective opinions of the group consensus favors the CS. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder etc.

I was being flippant. I too "had" a CS, and it's a fantastic car, beautiful too ... but compared to a Scuderia, it's a wallflower.

Not quite. The 348 "Serie Speciale" came first, then the "355 Fiorano". The CS though was the most successful and singular in purpose prior to the Scuderia.

The frenzy of blowhards extolling the virtues of the CS is a relatively recent phenomenon. The appreciation has certainly gained momentum since the car's initial release, and even more so since its end of production.

My comments were in defense to an automobile that I have great respect for and your comments were and still are to minimize it.
As far as blowhards go or beauty is in the eye of the beholder and even the wallflower comment I'll let you figure out who blows the hardest...

The CS is beautiful, but the Scuderia is more of raw looking. If I had money for a Scuderia I would rather have an F40 or Carrera GT.

LOL Experts on "what" - how can you be an expert on beauty - it is PURELY subjective

The Daytona is hideous in my estimation and so is the Boxer - and I REALLY AM a EXPERT (see picture pretty girl thread )

Challenge Stradale is the prettiest car since the 60's with one exception - the F40

Before making the assessment on which you'd rather have.........you guys should drive them and I think you'd be pleasantly..........or "unpleasantly" surprised rather.

    But thats another thread. :)

Lemme see, that would be you in the "CS Owner" camp then eh ?

The CS is just a car. It is not beyond reproach or criticism, it has not been anointed by St. Enzo. It's deification is premature.
