He walked into the bar and said "You must be obnoxious" (my license plate is OBNXUS) haha so we talked for a second, then got a picture with him.. he's super cool. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Excellent what bar was it? My buddy know's Dusty and say's he is also super cool, I would like to meet Billy because we graduated from the same high school.
Very very very cool Jason. Definitely one of the few rockers out there that it's obvious they're way cool and down to earth. Not to mention in to cars.
Yah that is their area. Dusty would alway'***** the liquor store in a strip center next door to my buddy's shop at Westheimer & Kirby in one of his Ferrari's then stop in to chit chat. Anyway cool sighting!!
he was drinking iced tea plus he was on his cell phone constantly. it was right before they went on american idol. he had a million phone calls
Very cool, that's another person I'd like to talk to, I just found out he used to live in Tanglewood next door to my cousin & her family, a real nice guy. I met Frank at an auto auction about 20 years ago but just thought he was just another car guy, not the famous drummer. I spoke with him & one of his friends out Ferraris, hot rods, etc.. for about twenty minutes. I wasn't told who he was until I walked over to my friends that were freaking out. Good times.
Billy is only one from Houston, Dusty is from Dallas & Frank went to high school in Irving. Home base for the band is in Houston.
They used to play at some of the nightclubs a friend's father used to own part of (the Cellar, IIRC), back in the 60's or early 70's. Fred still has B&W pics of sitting in with them on drums when he was about 8-10, and when they are in town, one or two of them will sometimes stop by to see him. We went to see them waaaaaay back when Billy Bob's was semi-new, and they gave us VIP passes to hang out after the show. All I can say is "ABSO@#$%INGLUTELY NEAT!! ! !!!!". Cool guys. Pretty sure that William probably knows Fred (W.), too.
I hear that far too often. I still vote for Houston's (on kirby) burger... Hell, I'd take a Becks over the Totem. Sadly I've had these discussions a few times
