Time to pass along my gas guzzler Jeep to another employee. I just purchased a new 535i and am quite impressed with the engineering, quality and sporty feeling the car has! Couldn't pass up the 0.9%. I am curious if there are any F-Car Owners who use BMW's as their everyday drivers?

I daily drive a 2007 M6. I have had it about a year and a half now and it has been a great car for me.

    Enjoy your new BMW!

360 spider (3 pedals) for fun.
M3 convertible (3 pedals) for daily driver.

both are incredibly fun -- the M3 is surprisingly capable.

    DJS,

I used my '01 530i sport package as a daily for 4.5 years, what a great car!! I also drove my '05 E60 M5 for over 2 years as a daily driver, what a great car! Never broke down once and never a single issue outside of regular maintenance and that was free under the BMW warranty programs. To me the best bang for the buck on the market, without a doubt when talking about the 335i.
I thought I would hate the Idrive, but I found it to be a sinch! Plus I had the USB Ipod cable in the M5 and that stereo was smoking for stock! I had over 70k miles on the 530i and 18k miles on the M5. We also had an '98 528 for 2 years no problems either.

    Congrats on the car!! Enjoy!

    Robert

F430 for fun, 750Li for everyday.

I'm thinking of getting an M5. Not sure as the body style is a bit old.

Why don't they make an M7?

I took a test drive in an M5 early this month, thought it was a great car. Really comfortable and so much space with the bonus of being pretty quick aswell.

I totally agree with you!!! This afternoon, I just spent some time getting familiar with all the controls while jamming with my i-pod. Now my i-pod is going to finally get some good use.

Fantastic daily drivers I have an 06 330ci and 325, might pick up softop m3 and sell the 325. The 330 averages 27mph and power on demand not wasted. Highly recommend any BMW 04 and up exception 7 series or 6.

I have owned 3 7series BMW's, and presently own one today. I suspect many here drive one. I own other cars but always seem to choose the BMW for long drives. It is comfortable and has a "feel" significantly different and better than other sedans. Best

I have a 745 for my daily drive and love it, it is the best car I have ever had. All the electronics, huge seats, super comfortable and drives like a lot smaller car. My brother has a cls merc and after driving that I am glad I chose a 7.

I have a 430 Spider and share daily driver duties between my '08 M3 DCT and '08 Mase Gran Turismo. I got the M3 a few months ago and still can't wait to drive it every single day. I haven't gotten bored or sick of it even 1% yet, it's too much fun. I've never driven a 535i, but I think it's a good choice for a daily driver. Have any pics of it yet? Post if/when you get a chance, I'd like to see the ext, int colors, etc...

360 6 sp, and an M6 coupe, which I recently sold. I miss the M6 a lot. Its such a great daily driver, performer, and very comfortable. With an exhaust, many people thought it sounded like a Ferrari. It had a lot of soul for being such a luxury car. Highly recommend it, SMG3 is great. I also had an 03 M3 Coupe which was great at the time, but comparatively lacked power and the ride was too harsh. It had a few problems as well, tranny went out, and other electrical issues. And it lacked headroom and buttroom.. for us 6'4 220lb guys.

I took the M6 to the track, and was quite surprised how well it handled. It was very confident plowing into the tight turns at the Streets of Willow. And I am used to driving a Noble at the track. I intend to get another one here in Italy. The ONLY drawback is the bad gas mileage. Must have options are full leather (alcantara roof, stiched dash), HUD, and carbon fiber trim. Of course, white looks the best :D

It looks like the results are the same as I thought might happen. Very sporty daily drivers! I have not seen bashing like some other makes. It looks like many here are in the very fast BMW models...alot of M's.
