I have discovered a shop in Bellevue that does very good work on Classic Maserati's. It is called Delorean Parts North West LLC The owner is Toby Peterson. Toby's telephone number is 206 930 8763. He has a couple of really good and very competent technicians, who know what their doing. They have done major work on my Quattroporte 1 to my complete satisfaction. Performing work within very acceptable time parameters. Oddly enough they are tenants of ours, located in the old MIE building off 116th in Bellevue, and Toby occupies my old office and my old shop with the two lifts. Cars are stored outside under cover in a gated secure courtyard. I have no financial interest in the company but am happy to recommend some good guys. Please feel free to call me at 206 310 8380 for more information. FGM Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's probably just me and no doubt some will think I'm very sexist but this video makes me want to vomit. P.S. My wife knows one hell of a lot more about Maserati and cars than this duo.
Lets get back too Qp. Here is one s1 in Sweden 1976 .Now the car is in Norway and painted in silver. Image Unavailable, Please Login
...ahhh!! One of the rare 1a-versions that came with the very nice DeDion-rear-axle! Even when red was -IMO- never a good option for a GT-Maserati (despite the new Gran Turismo, which loks very good in Red!) I would prefer such car not only in the always coming silver. Black would be great or very dark blue. Ciao! Walter
If you like Dark Blue/Red you might like Charcoal Grey/Red as shown here on Chassis #1448 currently in my stable. FGM Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I talked with Doug Magnaon yesterday about his car (012) and it has some unique features such as paint color found under the paint as well as no a/c from the factory which means no compressor. This brought up the question as to how the water pump is driven. I ask Doug if he could show us some photos of the the water pump, so we will see what he comes up with. Ciao, FGM
AM107.1448 is now running as it should. I ran it on the dyno at Carberator Connection in Kirkland with the following results. The first run produced a unimpressive 168.59 HP at the rear wheels with 202.71 Lbs of Torque at 4800 RPM in 4th gear. We then rebalanced the 42DCNF webers, reset the timing, adjusted the points and lubed the distributor cam which was dry. These adjustments produced an increase of 16.6 more HP to a maximum of 185.20 or approximately 230 at the flywheel at 4800RPM! The torque went up to 216.51 at 4800RPM This is about as spec as you can get and very impressive for a 40+ year old car. Please keep in mind this engine must have been rebuilt at some point. See the Dyno report below and note the first run in the lower of the two lines. See where at about 3700RPM the there is a sharp drop in RPM ( a miss) then rough running and sputtering - not good. On the second run you see an almost straight line arch. Just the way it should be. Also note the Fuel/Air mixtures below looks real nice on both runs and are well with in spec. I am convinced that using a dyno to tune these cars is the only way to go. You can clearly see if the ignition or Webers are causing the problems and then make the adjustments and test run it again. This car is ready for a 1000 mile cross country drive. Ciao, FGM Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Easter 1982 I went to London to see cars and it was quite a trip for an 18 year old! Here is a QPI near Bond street. Best regards, Marc Image Unavailable, Please Login
Greetings all, I am looking for a source for the rear reflectors as used on the QP1. They seem very similar to those used on some Lancia, such as the Fulvia. (There is a photo in the Mistral thread) The ones on my car are in poor condition, and I would like to replace them. Also would any one know of a reasonable priced source for the snake air filter element as used in our cars? The price I have seen so far is in the $300 range, and that to me seems out of line. Kindest regards, Ian. (1202)
Hello, can you see what car is waiting for restoration? Regards from Spain Image Unavailable, Please Login

I bought the exhaust and some wheels off of your old car MIE for my 107.1448, AKA The Grey Gost. Photo attached of the car sitting in front of my "toy barn" When I fired it up, there must have been a lot of oil in the exhaust because it smoked like an old steam ship. I ran it up the freeway and burned it out, but man did I get looks and not the kind you would want. The exhaust was an original heavy duty Ansa, in very good condition with the stickers still on. Greetings all, Still looking for a source for the QP1 rear reflectors, and am also looking for a left side fuel door (and possibly the right one) in good condition. The other thing that would be nice is an air intake plenum (the part that sits on the carbs) as mine is in poor condition. If I can find one at a reasonable price, it will save me some effort.
