Poor 250 GTEs! I bet there are a lot of "GTOs" running around that should be connected to those cars. :(

    Many threads about this car.

Photo was taken and copyrighted by Rod Bender. I believe he was one of the few who actually knew where it was. Several pics in the set. He recently had them blown up to "B" size. I think he still has a few sets left. PM me if you want his contact info

This thread makes me very sad.............however, this is what I found in a barn. You will all be happy to know that by the summer of 2009 the restoration will be completed and another old Ferrari would have been rescued. It is a 1970 365 GT 2+2

I think I might have posted this before, but when I was a young and broke college student, I visited the Ferrari shop in Denver back when it was on West Colfax. The sales people were nice, and even let me take photographs as long as I didn't touch anything. It was near closing time, and the mechanic came out of the back, cussing. The guy on the showroom floor asked what the mechanic was worked up about, and he said that he'd just finished working on a Boxer (don't remember for sure, but I think it was a 365), and the young (20 something) playboy who owned it had been using the passenger seat for an ashtray! Cigar butts, ashes and burns all over.

The mechanic said, "I've been working on these cars all my life and still can't afford one. This young rich guy doesn't appreciate what he's got."

I wanted to take that Boxer away and give it to the man who really knew it and appreciated it.

For those who think Ferraris are mere status symbols, I say, To the true aficionado they are far more. It doesn't matter how much money you've got if you don't appreciate it - then it's just machinery.

Can't identify what model of Ferrari is it in the photos if you don't say it is a 308. A poor poor car.

Well, this car sports a german licenseplate, dedicated for export. On the right side of this plate, you can barely see some numbers (the ones on the red ground), which are the date until the car must have left german soil because on that date, the insurance expires. SU stands for the area where this car is located until exported. SU is an area eastern from cologne.
The funny thing is, this license plates are leagal in conjunction with an international registration document. The insurane is just important for germany, as you have to have one.
As far as i understand the text, this car is located in alicante, which is in spain. So this car is used for the holidays, I think. That surely is the reason for all this dust in this open garage space.

And, if you are on the east coast, you can simply "donate" it to me (cuts down on shipping)

The text says: that the gallardo is there for almost 1 year  and nobody knows the reason of why the car is abandoned might be because the gallardo was stoled or the owner is on jail
then it says spec info of the gallardo
