A 6-speed 335i is my daily driver. Great mileage, A/C, stereo and with its upgraded ECU, it does the 1/4 mile in the 12s. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Put me in the minority. I just turned in a 5 series Xi (2006) and will never drive another BMW. The electronics were brutal!!! Everytime I took it in for service they would erase all of the the Bluetooth phone numbers and radio settings, and not solve the problem. The car did handle well but the other issues were too bad to ignore. I just leased a C class from MB and so far it has been great. The Bluetooth phone is not as user friendly as the BMW but everything else has been superior so far. I will give the C class to my son next year and lease a new E class. Hopefully it will have more improvements as well. Side note: I promised my son a 3 series from BMW if he made academic all american in college (which he did). Based on my experience with the BMW he now wants the C class. Hopefully my experience is an outlier and everyone else will have better luck with their BMW's.
It's not a slate roof. It is a designer shingle, Owens Corning. 2 years ago about $160/square wo labor.
I have a Winter X5 4.8is for duty but just got a 09 AMG C63 for a daily. It was the best of the bunch of the RS4 and M3 group. with better brakes and 140 more lbs of torque.

Just sold my 2007 750i with Sport Package. Great handling sedan. Electronics were a bit clumsy, but you get used to it. My 430 is now parked next to a new Toyota Land Cruiser.
F430 F1 for pure, raw fun and excitement. 2007 M6 convertible Individual for daily use and enjoying the sun. 2008 E70 X5 4.8i to drive the kids around town and for longer trips with the family. ... F599 GTB F1 on the way. I have owned many BMW's and I really enjoy them. They have been my daily drivers for years now and the M6 provides plenty of fun (and excellent build quality). Enjoy your BMW. Cheers, M
Have a 335 as well. Although no exotics. I enjoy it. I'm so use to the 6spd, I sometimes forget I'm shifting at all. Had two friends drive it this weekend. One had a Mustang in high school, now drives a Tahoe and looking for something sporty. He really liked it a lot. He didn't know it was twin-turboed and when he reached 3000rpms and the turbos really spooled up he was like "Oh ****!", with a huge smile on his face. Another friend drove it from a restaurant to the bar. He didn't realize we were doing 80mph. He's so use to driving a truck with loose steering that he kept swerving. A lot. lol. Approaching 20,000 miles, had since March 1, 2007.
I got three that share garage space with an '07 F430: X5 for hauling stuff and kids around; 750Li for four door comfy driving; New M3 for daily driving. Had an M6 when I bought the 430. Car was nice (had it for 2 years) but got a little bored with it. I was at the dealership buying the X5 and they had a new M3 sitting all pretty on the showroom floor so I bought it on the spot. I had to explain to my wife why I came home with 2 new cars. I like the M3 but, you know, it's not really what I want to drive around everyday in. Now that I have a 430 I don't need the edgy-ness of the M3. Thinking about trading it for a new SL63. The lease is coming due on the 750 and the "new" 7 series doesn't really excite me. There are rumors of an M7 but even if that is true, we are looking a year or so away. I might jump over to an S550 or S63.
Does a Mini count? I drive a Mini S "works" everyday. It's a blast and I don't care where I park it or what happens to it. The F430 is my weekend machine (and occasional daily driver) that I use to remind myself what driving is all about.
This thread is right up my my ally I daily an X5 for work for being out on construction sites The rest get attention when my father and I are around. We are both constantly at different houses during the summer months so the e46 M3 vert and M6 vert get a lot of attention at the beach in DE where the F430 is also located. The M5 was rallied from Philly to Miami a few months back and is down in FL with the 135 vert. I also have a 318 which is a nice break from the quicker gas hungry beasts. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!
