    I was top 5 on the list and I am bailing. Nothing to do with the image of the car, its' looks or spec - all of which I still like. I switched for a Scuderia Spider. Based on how much I like my Scuderia, it seemed like a no brainer

    When was the Scud Spider announced? I hadn't noticed that.

    Smart of them though - a Stradale spider would have been great (one of the tuners was selling Stradale bumpers and skirts for spiders at one point).

    I guess they haven't 'announced' the Spider yet but dealers and potential buyers know about it. When will it be unveiled? But what is the point of a Scuderia Spider? Seems to defeat the purpose.

    Hey.. it costs a lot of money to Buy Back used 430s from bulging dealer inventories, strip em, slice the top and glue CF and LEDs across the dash!

    I mean the way that it is completely stripped down, more refined, made as light as possible, etc. to make it as close to a street legal racing car (eg. 430 Challenge) as possible. By making it a convertible they have to add more weight and they will be somewhat sacrificing performance, handling, etc. when these was the main reasons they were trying to save weight.

    I'm all for a Scuderia Spider, I just wasn't expecting one. I'm sure Ferrari will make it work :)

    Honestly, I believe this is Ferrari looking to fully capitalize on the last design they have that's worth looking at! ;)

    ** I hope they call in an SS and get their ass sued off by GM for their trouble! Pot meets kettle for the License Nazis! :):)

    the 430 sucderia spider should be out be early 2009 and i believe it is a very limited production as well

    It's still a road car, and IMO the Scud fixed all the lines I didn't like on the F430.

    The Challange cars are the real track cars.

    a Scuderia spider...wow, that official? i m not really amator for this type of Ferrari s.

    Concerning this choice i m agree, the california is a horrible car.

    Exactly. Scuderia Spider is going to be a very capable Spider. I have other weapons for the track
