    Hi

Does anyone know if parking officers in lygon street or Chapel street turn a 'blind eye' to ferraris parked illegally (say in a no standing area or loading bay)?

I'll be interested in hearing from anyone who has had an experience on this subject.

    Thanks

No blind eye, U will be fined.

They are bi/tches, i got pinged with my ex-van parked in a "truck zone", it had commercial G reg. etc *should* have been ok, NOT good enough, needs to be over 4 tonne.

I did try to get out of it, but was not worth 15mins. out of my life so i caved in, paid and moved on.

First parking ticket in 20+? years

    Ciao

    M

PS: PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN LOADING ZONES, that will piss me off!!

No matter what car you have, you'll get a ticket if you're parked in the wrong spot (see pic of a ticket on a 550). There's always parking inspectors there too. But since the exotic owners are often in cafes near their cars, they move the cars when inspectors come by. I often see exotics moving a few car spaces away when a legal spot becomes available.

From observation ( in Canberra & Sydney )

    You'll be fined.
Not a lot of sympathy out there for exotic car owners who think they can park anywhere they like with impunity.

Don't you know that parking inspectors get bonus points for the severity of the penalty and the rarity of the car.
And jackpot points if the car is towed, and damaged in the process....

    Thanks guys.

I asked input on this matter because I parked my 355 in a 'no standing zone' (didn't want to park too far away from the street action) in lygon street on the grand prix eve this year and didn't get a ticket.

Just last week I caught some school kids trying to steal my ferrari valve caps, so I'm carefull where I park my car.

I find that because the car attracts so much attention, parking is a real problem when going out for the night. The 'illegal spots' just seem so tempting, because they are easy to get in and out of and are usually well exposed in the eye of the public.

    Duh...
    The solution is pretty simple:
Don't take your Ferrari to places where you can't park it legally and keep an eye on it.

Thats what my brother also does with his 300C. :):)

I think $20 covers it normally. Also gets VIP parking at the Casino in Cairns and Townsville too. :):)

I always park my car in no standing places when I take it out at night, just feel safer that way and the fines never more than 100 bucks anyway.

I'd rather pay 100 bucks to park it on a main rd, then sit there in a side street and stare at where my badge used to be or some other idiotic damage cause by a numnut.
