auto loans - quick question

Just call three to five buddies and see what they need to buy in the next few days. Pop it on your VISA and have them pop you the cash. Maybe one of them wants a 52" flat screen............There's your cash!

 

With a car loan, the car is the collateral so you can't get more than the total cost of the car. If you want the extra money to add non-dealer options, ask the dealer if they'll purchase and install the options and add them to the total loan amount.

If you own a home and have enough equity in it, get a Home Equity Loan or line of credit. Pay for the car with that and use the rest of the line anyway you want.

Would almost agree but for something like Capitalone No hassle car loan. You tell them how much you need for a car... they issue you a check for up to X amount. If X amount is more than your car costs - have the dealer refund you the excess to use as you wish.

 

What if their cards are already max'd from renting someone else's sister a car?

 

So it isn't a car loan, it's a loan you can use to buy a car. These companies do exist and banks can do this as well. My sister took out a car loan to boost her credit rating and her bank gave her the amount for the car, taxes and two grand but I believe this had something to do with her having the funds in her account to cover the loan.
