It looks like it got painted at Earl Scheib with a can of krylon.. The paint is awful. Bright red and yellow don't look right on a 4-seater Ferrari... The guy painted right over the grille...

It is kind of cool that it is a cabrio but it is going to take a LOT of money to restore that car... If the body doesn't have too much rust and is straight and the engine is solid, a paintjob may make a world of difference and make it respectable. Paint it metallic blue or metallic maroon and it would look pretty good... Is this the car that was in Austin until just recently?

"The interior DOES NEED need partial restoring."

Wow, is THAT an understatement!!!!!! This pig looks like it has been in the hold of the Titanic for the past 95 years! The Buy It Now price of $21,500 is totally off the wall insane. The fact that it "starts right up" is absolutely amazing.

It would be a good parts car provided you like your parts in yellow.

Where would you even buy a replacement soft top for a non-factory chopped car?

Aw Man, you beat me to it!

His profile doesn't say so, but it sounds like there might be some seriousness to it.

I was talking about this car with a friend recently as the car to be avoided at all costs. Seriously.

    Parts car.

    Too bad.

Actually, if it's for real, it's an extremely rare car for the USA. Being a carbed 400, they were never sold in the US. I've kept a lookout for a carbed 400 engine as a project, and I haven't seen one yet. Was this a gray market car, or did it enter the US by strange means?

The fuel injected 400s were never sold in the US, either. This is the true definition of a "fright pig"!
