Hopefully they'll change that exhaust. The classic 4 pipes look way better than those enormous single exhausts. Too much ricer style.

The clue was that it's a test mule, all the secret project stuff is in the back of that 430!! look up Enzo mule on the internet and you will find a strange looking 355!!

It was a hybrid of both, 355 rear and 348 front

Something interesting i noticed, the 348 based mules for the Enzo were stretched quite a bit to fit the drivetrain and other components for the larger Enzo. This mule does not appear to be stretched at all. Does this tell us that the Enzo successor is quite a bit smaller (i.e. Millechille)?

i had the same thought. Maybe the exhaust is a compromise to fit a larger engine without stretching the back the car, ie no exhaust box behind the engine means more space....

This mule is meaningless. I mean it doesn't matter what it looks like its not going to give us any engine specs, nor will it give us any clues as to what this final look will be.

thats not a F430 Scuderia lol.

Also, looks like it has 3 exhaust pipes like the F40 (under the rectangle)

A mule is not meaningless. The shape is clearly not going to be that of a 430, but the size of a car is hard to hide when you reach a certain point of development.

I am no expert, but to me, the wheelbase underpinning those 430 panels does not seem much bigger than that of a standard 430. Do these pictures tell us conclusively that the eventual car for which this is a testbed (who knows if this is really the next enzo successor?) has smaller proportions than the enzo? Certainly not. Could the short wheelbase of a mule be representative of a shorter wheelbase on the final product? Quite possibly. Theres more to be gleaned from spyshots like this than what the car's shell looks like.

OK it was a mish mash then! The only picture I had showed more of the rear end rather than its flanks hence the 355 comparison. I did say a strange 355 also and that was certainly strange :)

Since when was any manufacturer obligated to in the first place when it came to mules? Mules aren't meant for us to see everything, or tell us what to expect. That's what a concept is for. This car is solely for Ferrari to test the engine and drivetrain, not for Ferrari enthusiasts to drool over.

Can we be sure this is not the replacement for the F430?

i have to agree with you guys in thinking this could be the 430 replacement. why the media seems to concretely think it's the Enzo replacement, i don't know.
