Did anyone else get this Schumi hat?

What's the logo on the bill? Not bad-looking.

 

Great looking hat! As much as I love Ferrari I'm not a fan of red hats. I've never bought anything off of ebay but that might have been "my first".

Well I feel a bit dumb. All this time I thought the dragon was some type of secondary logo for DVAG. It is actually a trademark of Schumacher; see top left of his website...http://www.michael-schumacher.de/?lang=uk

I had no idea! I like it better than his other logo.

 

Here are some photos of one I picked up a few years ago from China. It has all the tags, but my gut tells me this is not a legit item (authorized). Michael's name and the front bill stripes are a bit askew. The guy I bought it from had very little feedback and disappeared from ebay shortly after.

I got that one at Spa in '05. But the "1" is missing and a certain sponsor is in it's place. Won't say what I paid, but I didn't blink when he told me the price.

 

Congrats; I want one myself. Not that it really matters but is it officially official or a knock-off?

I have one of them in red. The red hats are awsome but i guess i can only wear them once a year at the races. Has anyone had any trouble buying hats on ebay cause i was thinking about buying this one but i have some reservations about it being real and why the shipping is so expensive.

The one i like the most is this one but with the USD being so bad its alittle expensive, still i think i would wear it alot more.

It is a bit expensive but "relatively" speaking its cheap for something from the Ferrari Store. That said, anyone know where I can find this in the states, i.e. "cheaper"?

 

I got the EXACT same hat ! my best bud got it for me when he was in Italy..when I saw the 'made in China' tag I asked him if he bought off a street vendor but he said that he bought it in a F1 shop???? funny but it looks & feels like the real thing to me

 

I've got this Schumi hat--remember these? It's the double championship hat. I used to have the first one with silver stitching, but it vanished.

Got it today, which impressed me...fast service. Yep, its a nice hat and I will be happy with it. However, I believe its a "knock off" assuming the red one of the same style/design I have is legit. Below are pics for comparison.

A few differences:
-size of logos on side
-the hash marks on the strap; there are 7 (representing championships) on the red hat and 9 (MS wishes! ) on the black one
-the inner band of the black one lacks the repeating MS logo.
-back of white Ferrari tag; red has a hologram tag with number below it, black has silver image but not a hologram plus no number
-red hat has 2006 on back, black has 2007; doesn't the hat design change each year?
-red hat came with MS Collection tag(s); black has only one large Ferrari tag

That said; I like it and will wear it more than the red one. I'm kind-of like that guy that had the fake GTO made so he could enjoy the experience without risking reality!

I have replica's of all the hats Shumi wore over his career except the double world champ one with gold stitching. The one you received is probably the right one as the quality did go down a little at the end, but the black one was not a official sponsor hat.

 

its a fake look at the back straps of the hats the red one is correct, it has 7 white bars on it which represent the 7x WDC titles the black one has like 9...still a nice hat i want one.

 

If anyone has an example of this hat for sale or going spare I would be happy to talk. Its the only one I do not have and would obviously complete my collection. PM me if you can help.
