TR is quite the golfer I hear, he's been pretty close to qualifying for the US Open I hear. You didn't get to play with Tony did you by any chance?
No, I just happened on his group with Scott Verplank, last year's winner, and they were kidding around so much, I followed them from 16 on in. Tony is a lot bigger and stouter than I thought he was.
Romo came up a little short in qualifying for the US Open. Shot a 42 on the front nine, but then shot an impressive 33 on the back. http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/spt/football/cowboys/stories/050808dnspocowbriefs.368357c.html Post # 4000 (just like the # of yards TR will have this season)
Look what Tony was doing today, throwing out the first pitch at the Cubs game. He sang "Take me out to the Ball Game", he might have a career in singing after he wins his 5 Super Bowl MVPs. http://www.hollyscoop.com/tony-romo/tony-romo-has-been-taking-singing-lessons-from-jessica_15961.aspx Image Unavailable, Please Login
Damn, you beat me to it. He definitely won't have a singing career, but if he ever thinks of doing karaoke, he should take some singing lessons.
He sure has been in the press... first trying to qualify for the US Open in golf, now this! Hmm, Jessica must have hooked him up with a Hollywood PR firm.
They were talking on the radio this morning that when he first came to the Cowboys Bill Parcells gave him a piece of paper with a list of things not to do. Becoming a celebrity was one of them. Maybe 'ole Bill knew it would be his downfall.
Yes, Bill Parcells has a list of "10 Commandments for Quarterbacks", he shared them on ESPN once. Romo isn't doing so great on the celebrity part, but he sure as hell wins games.
Tony Romo is a severely overrated QB. He plays on a fantastic team that flatters him, much like a Ferrari F2004 flattered Rubens Barrichello. He is not worth what he makes because his salary should be saved for the greats, the players that win the games that count, and not choke in the most important games two years in a row, or have the worst game of your life because your (admittedly hot ass girlfriend) is in the stands. Im a huge supporter of the G-men, and I am so proud of Eli Manning, because he was under pressure for his performances from the entire city of New York and the Giants organization and he bounced back in tremendous fashion. His performance in the Super Bowl was up there with the greats like Montana and Elway, because he played amazing, and when it counted, and against all the odds. Something Romo would know nothing about. Ferraridude615 you have almost convinced me that you are gay for this overpaid- sycophantic- girlfriend- suck- up. It makes me sick. Hot damn I hate Tony Romo and the Cowboys. Eli Manning, Plaxico Burress and Brandon Jacobs are the real football players.
Revitalizing this thread, Romo had a terrific game on Sunday to begin his MVP season. (Typed with Cowboys shirt on.)
and it begins... Cowboys looked good, hopefully they can finally go all the way this year...but that's a big hopeful.
The Eagles will beat the Cowboys this monday night. In fact they might embarrass them. Keeping it real. Jim
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3582641 Tony Romo, of all people, stopped on the side of the road in Dallas to help a couple fix their flat tire, with stitches in his chin no less. The man does everything, hell with NFL MVP, ROMO FOR PRESIDENT.
Great game last night, but did anyone else catch his post-game interview on the field? Good ol' Romo's head sure is starting to get big... I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the arrogance he is starting to get. I know that for an NFL quarterback confidence is a good thing... but that was "gag me".
Missed it. Was it more of a "me me me", "I I I" thing? Rather than "all the guys were spot on and did their thing"?
