    The folks at Porsche of Huntington will be throwing a party for the debut of the new 911. Yes, these are the cars with direct-fuel-injection engines and double-clutch transmissions.

    They'll have 2 cars on display, some food & drinks, and some giveaways. If you want a test drive, you can setup an appointment then, but they will not be driving the day of the event...

    I'll probably come down in the Scuderia.

    Just got the flyer from my Porsche dealer here (Don Rosen). They're having the unveiling on 9/20. I'm flying out to asia that day, but if I have a chance I'll pass by in the morning and post a pic or two (if I can)...

    There are some subtle exterior changes, notably the front intake vents which look more like the Boxster's now and the tail lights are slightly revised.


    This isn't a new generation. It's a mid-cycle revision. Keeps the car looking fresh and extends its life a bit. The new engine is probably the main selling point.



    It's been in production 4 years now, so in a couple years I expect to see the 998!

    Saw the car at the WFC last week, its ok, will have to wait to see what GT versions look like.

    I'll be at the Porsche press preview in October, so I'll have some actual driving impressions on a production car and not the pre-production car I was in a little while ago...
