    Hey GUys:

I'm thinking of buying a Black 430 Scuderia and wondered how much over MSRP the current market is at. I know the F430 market is softer than ever, which is why I suppose this car isn't spoken for yet.

PS: My 2008 F430 Spider will be here in 3 weeks.

Please be a little more specific on the Scuderia. Is it used? Is it new and hasn't arrived at the dealer yet? Is the dealer flipping it?

there really isnt much of a market to compare it too with barely any on the actual market. as much as your willing to pay/you think its worth would be the best answer probably

Hard to make an accurate call. As far as I know only one car has been resold by a dealer with the blessing of FNA. That car was sold somewhere at $145K over MSRP. I think the market could be a little soft even on the Scuderia.

It will also depend on if you have a good relationship with this Dealer. If you've purchased multiple cars from them or not. If you've traded other cars back to them for them to profit on again. All of these things come into play on how much this particular Dealer is willing to sell this car to you for. Best guess is that they've got this car offered to multiple parties............and highest bidder will "buy" it.

G/L Arnie..........if you get it...........you will find it to be most impressive. You won't believe its part of the 430 family. Completely different look and feel.

I know the f430 and 599 Ferrari market relatively well. Just bought my second Spider. The Scud just happpens to be a whole different story. I really love to hear from people that bought and taken delivery of a new Scuderia.

I am in HK which is a totally different market so i cannot make any useful comments. All I can say is that the Scuderia is beyond amazing and I hope the numbers work out for you so you can experience this yourself

Just pay whatever the dealer wants for it, then watch as the bottom falls out of the market... Oil prices dropping, economies tanking, FNMA and Freddie in conservatorship, the US banks cratering, UK banks following, Russia getting on the muscle... clearly paying over list price in a manipulated market is a brilliant move at this moment in time. Of course, if you gotta have it because you are actually going to drive it somewhere that you can tap its potential like an airstrip or a track or the Autobahn, then pile up your dollars and ignite them.

Maybe Obama is right. If there are people who would pay $145k over list for a car that will be selling below list in a couple years, we affluent have it too good. Come on! Those days are over for a while. Have some shame.

I have watched Scuderia pricing, and this is what I've seen:

    Red @ Ebay- 499k buy-it-now used!
Black @ Colorado- 450k? Don't know what it sold for
    Yellow @ Fchat listing- 450k

What are they listing it for? You are clearly going to be in the 400's I'd assume.... They willing to give you a good trade in value? Thats the ticket on savings, you don't pay sales tax when you trade in.

Anything more than 80k over is pure waste.
Why don't you enjoy you 08 F430 for a while
and then see where the market is. Prices will
fall as soon as the 430 replacement is announced
Look at the 599 it lost a 100k in premium in 6 mths

    Pay lwhatever they want over MSRP and then;

    1) buff it in your garage, put less han 2k miles on it per year
    2) never drive it on the track, like 95% of the other owners
    3) never have the chance of driving it anywhere near capacity on regular roads
    4) always have it exceed your driving skills by 30%

Sorry, but those are the facts as applied to 98% of Scud owners. But if you've got to have it, because you got to say you have it, then by all means get it at 100K over msrp

At these kinds of prices it is sheer insanity to take a scud over a CS.
I cannot imagine a Scud is more than twice as good as a CS as the current market prices for both would have you believe.
I wouldn't trade my CS straight up for a Scud.

CS is a soulful car but whether the difference of 2x is worth it is a very personal decision. For me the electronics of the Scud make it a bargain and I would not even consider 2 CS's for my Scud. I felt the same about the 996 GT3RS vs the 997 GT3RS. Advances in technology are massive lately and you either want to play with it and be prepared to pay or not. You were certainly blown away by your 599 even though the 575 HGTC was a relative bargain. Just as the 599 instantly rendered the 575 a classic car, the Scud has done the same to the CS. The Scud in race mode SF2 with the Schumacher button is from another planet. The traction control is jaw dropping - you keep thinking "this is not possible this is not possible" - when you flat at apex and hold on for your life. CS is a primitive but spirited go kart in comparison. I love the CS but reality is harsh. I would still buy a CS again as it is such a fun car

Could not say it any better, might only add that the Scud makes 599 almost "boring" if that word can be used at all.....

So true. I don't miss my 599's for a nano second after the Scud. Even though the Scud is 2x the GT3RS, it is worth it IMO
