I remember seeing the incident during the race and seeing LH give way to KR to let him pass, I thought that would be the end of it, I guess I was wrong. I guess the stewards looked at it this way, they saw LH take a short cut and then give way to KR to let him pass. Then LH drafted KR and made the pass. I guess what they are saying is that since LH only got caught in his draft because of the shortcut that he took? I am a big Ferrari fan and saw the race and to me it looked like LH was getting pretty close to catching him even before he took the shortcut, now if he would have caught him without taking the shortcut is a different story, I think there were what, 2 or 3 laps until the finish?

I wonder if LH had that planned out? He was catching KR but didn't think that he had enough laps to do it, so what I will do is take a short cut, let KR pass me and then draft him on this long straight and pass him. You never know what was going through his head especially when he had thoughts about not winning the race. LH knows that KR is a hard guy to pass, especially after he hasn't won a race in a while, so maybe LH didn't have the balls to do it so he thought about doing it a different way.

LH seams to be a great driver, but his thinking and his attitude recently has changed a lot (KR didn't have the ball's.....) He should know that KR has the balls to do anything that he does and better. How many times has KR won at Spa, being one of the most dangerous tracks in F1? How many times has KR been a world champion? I guess now that KR contract is stable with Ferrari until 2010 there will be a lot more people saying things about him, especially a certain guy, FA.

BMW Sauber driver Robert Kubica has chided Lewis Hamilton's suggestion that world champion Kimi Raikkonen didn't 'have the balls' to beat him at Spa Francorchamps a week ago.

Ferrari's Raikkonen shrugged off the Briton's comments with his typical cool disregard, but Kubica sounded surprised when he too was informed at Monza about Hamilton's brash words.

"Did he really say that?" Kubica is quoted as saying by Motorsport Aktuell. "I cannot imagine that.
    "

"We drivers should have a fundamental respect for each other," he concluded.

Who had the bigger balls then?
(just ignore the commentator, because he is an idiot who used to calculate fuel fills in the pits)

Tho one can argue Lewis gained an unfair advantage by not lifting off when coming off the track. If that was sand/wall/grass he would of slowed down/been out.

Robert is everything LH is not. Class, humility and quietly confident. Frankly I think higher of Robert than LH considering the wild and unbalanced car he was given in testing. He has met the challenge of it and is succeeding. He seems to be an excellent technical driver.

LH could learn alot from him I think.

I interpret Robert's statement above as surprise at what Hamilton allegedly said about Kimi, indicating that Kubica thinks Hamilton has more sense than that. I have always thought that Robert appears very humble and down to earth. The only thing I cannot understand is how he is friends with Alonso. Maybe Alonso is a better person than a lot of people think he is. But I doubt it.

i think Alonso must be a good fella in person. lots of people think that he and Massa are enemies or something, but they do greet each other and talk, considering their wheel banging antics at Nurburgring last year.

What worries me is that this could all be part of "the show" -- the WWF1 smack-down.

Hamilton gets into the lead, talks trash about a driver 19 points down, and then everyone cheers when the underdog comes from behind to win. Yay.

    Lewis Kamacho?

(Lewis *is* a contract player, so to speak.)
(Remember the Hollyweird studios writing "private lives" fluff for their contract actors/actresses back in the day?)

Well Lewis is just taking advantage of free speech. He needs to realize if Schumi was here,he would have no trash to talk.

It would appear that LH backed up his talk today. Schumi is retired so what Schumi would or would not have done or LH would or would not have said is irrelevant. Today Kimi and LH started at the back and only one of those drivers charged through the field.

He doesn't need to realize anything where Schumi is concerned because Schumi is done in F1. There's a new era and like it or not it includes drivers like Massa, Vettel, Rosberg, Kubica, and Alonso. End of story. Welcome to 2008 and beyond, glad you could join us.

Kubica is one of the nicest guys on the grid, imho. Always humble, always friendly, always down to earth. Look how happy he was yesterday congratulating Vettel, seemed like he enjoyed Vettel's first win as much as if it was his own. Speaking of Alonso, I've often heard that he's quite nice personally.

"one win - even as the youngest driver ever to take an F1 victory - did not make him the next Michael Schumacher, he insisted, claiming that the seven-time world champion did not bear comparison with any of the current crop of F1 drivers.

"I think, first of all, you have to realise what this guy achieved in the past," he explained, "To compare anybody among us drivers - and, probably, Fernando [Alonso] is the closest, as he's a two-time world champion - I think is a bit ridiculous.

"Obviously, I'm very young, and at a very early stage of my career, but therefore I think there's no need to make a comparison. He's probably one of the best drivers we have ever seen. I'm proud, in a way, because I know him. He's a very nice guy and completely down to earth."
