This spring I was replacing timing belts, and found bearings that were worn out on the timing shafts.
Engine had to come out, and the timing shaft cover is off.
The two last faulty bearings are on the back side of the timing shafts A and B.

How do you recommend that I go about removing the two timing shafts ?
There's really nothing to grab on to, and not really anything to pull against.

Any tips, tricks or ideas are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks everyone,
    Hammerson

    Here's how I remove them...

-Screw the shaft retaining nuts back on
-Install a claw type attachment on the end of a small "slide hammer"
-Slip the claw behind the retaining nut
-A couple of small "slaps" on the slide hammer...then the gears will easily pull out

It take very little force to remove the gears, as they're a modest press into the rear bearings.

    Regards,
    David

    You're welcome...

Once you get the gears off, you can then use an "inside bearing" puller attachment (for the same small slide hammer) and extract the inner timing bearings. If you'd like, I can post some photos of these attachments and the set-ups I typically use.

    Regards,
    David
