There's absolutely no comparison between the cars. You could hear the CS way before you could see it.

put enough holes in the exhaust of a fiat tipo and you will have a similar effect....

ferrari's do sound gorgeous indeed.....but it in no way reflects on anything about a car's performance.

 

think you're looking a little to much into his post and taking it a little to seriously mate.
im sure every1 is only grading that video on sound alone, not weather the CS is a better car than the 997

guys, I was just messing with any Porsche fans out there... a fair comparison would have been to have a 996 GT3RS on that bend... but honestly? the CS would have still kicked a-- with the "overall experience"... the thread was just about that: "user experience"... and no matter how you dig into the 0-60 figues, and all those "other figures", you will still miss the "experience" part, which you can't measure by numbers... I am taking delivery of a Scud next month (factory delivery), and I would rather have that CS instead... it's more hardcore, and sounds like a beast!!!!!!

the "sorry" part is because no porsche can ever give that sensation... if you don't know what I am talking about, please watch the clip again

thanks for asking. i truly love the GT2....i have so far only done 500 km's in it. it's an awesome car and basically scares me every time i drive it. it's really an adrenaline pump. so very different from my 997TT. can't wait until TK and I take the scud and Gt2 to europe.....will be a blast for sure. and then when i can finally fill her up with 98 octane the car will show it's true face

 

oh, i am sure the cs is a better (track) car than the standard fare 997

 

scud is so much more than a cs in every department and then some.........

 

Porsche should make their cars sound better. No idea why the Germans do not do something there.

 

you need to hear a 996 GT3 RS.... man made thunder

i've never heard a 997 gt3 but im sure it should sound even better

oh.. and they also make the best sounding stock car ever made imo.. the Carrera GT

there are plenty of nice after market exhaust systems available, they need to make them quiet for the middle class yuppies that buy them, that is there market for entry level cars, most are clueless, and would be very imbarrassed in front of the neighbor by a loud car.

Disclaimer: I am a huge porsche and ferrari fan, I like the sound of the v8 ferrari better, however most p-cars can sound great too with the right exhaust.
