There is going to be parade of 40 Ferrari's on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills today at around 6:30pm. I am driving my humble 360 in the line. Photographers will be taking pictures to commemorate the event for the new Ferrari Magazine. The cars are then going to the World Premier of the California which begins at 7:00 pm. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is rumoured to make an appearance. A new California is going to be auctioned for charity.
Video is in progress at the California site. http://www.ferraricalifornia.com/webapp/feel.htm?locale=en_GB quite an event... people get to tour the manufacturing line. GT
Thanks for the heads up. Great presentation. Shumi says the California is great - I'll take his words for it.

Not to beat a dead horse regarding the California's styling, but after watching this I would have to say the problem is... The California is 'cute'. its certainly not ugly...its certainly not beautiful. Its definately NOT masculine and IMO it is the first Ferrari that is not masculine. Im sure it is a fantastic car but take off the emblems and it looks like something a chick would drive. Im not going to knock Ferrari for that..perhaps that is where the market is right now and they are in business to make money.
Masculine? I thought Ferraris are supposed to look like beautiful women and not masculine men. The Modena, Dino, 250GTO, California, 612, even 355 all have feminine lines. The Enzo, Testarossa, 328 and F430 are masculine. As far as something chicks would drive - it would be a new market for Ferrari, certainly it's easier for us to buy a F car if the wife approves. As far as saying Ferrari is in the business to make money....... IIRC Enzo started building road cars to make money in order to finance racing efforts, has anything changed since that time?
Perhaps I should have used the word 'aggressive'. My bad. The cars you mention, while having curves that may be considered feminine by some (though not me) are all aggressive in their stance. They look like they are ready for business. The California, while a good looking vehicle, doesnt look aggressive or ready for anything more intense than a cruise down Rodeo Drive. And to answer your last question...I believe LOTS has changed at Ferrari since Enzo passed.
heres the parade on rodeo..i was all posted up on rodeo knowing the event started at 7.pm is santa monica... so im standing around like some wank paparrazi at 6:3o telling tourist that no britney wasnt shopping here,,,.i said screw it at 6:45 and went to visit a friend at his gallery to drink all the stella atrois he had left in his fridge... then we heard the motors...turned out it was 1/2 an hour late so thats why it was shot from a ladies restroom at david lawreneces art gallery at rodeo and santa monica..."kramer" is a bh motorcycle cop that ive known for over 30 years!! http://videos.streetfire.net/video/THE-RODEO-DR-FERRARI-TO_185027.htm

It was a spectacular event at Maranello last night! "Ferrari are a team and the whole team, including Kimi, are now going to support Felipe.........." Just watched him testing at Mugello this afternoon. Can't wait for the night race!
I was there also. Great event - Edwin Colella and his team did a great job. Kimi was on our table and he drunk during the whole evening only water. this was ok so there was more Barolo vine for me. hehe Did you go to Maranello with the Ferrari from UK? We watched Kimi also an Friday at the track. Here are some pics from a European forum but I'm not sure if it is possible to see the pics without registration on it. http://www.carpassion.com/de/forum/ferrari-california/34038-california-premiere-maranello-18-09-2008-a.html
