And Richard Simmons doesn't count !

    My favourite fruit is.....

The CANTALOUPE AKA the musk melon

The skin on apples, grapes, cherries , etc bothers me...its a texture thing. Oranges and their relatives are great but the veins get stuck between my teeth. Pineapples are just too tangy for everyday use.

    The Cantaloupe...there is no substitute

    +1 on mangos.

Love strawberries. And candies/milkshakes/shaved ice that are strawberry/banana. The perfect combo!! :)

Going off topic, but I HATE cherries. Had asthma, and all my liquid medicines were cherry flavored. YECH!

Apples. Specifically, apples eaten outside. They always taste better outside, no idea why.

Not a fruit thing, but has anyone else noticed that with age comes radically different preferences? I'm no old coot, but up until two years ago I could not stand onions that resembled raw. Now I snack on them raw and sliced thick, with a little pepper on them. LOVE IT. I might try eating onions outside, too.

My 2 year-old loves fruit, so the benefit is we have a lot of it around these days. I've really gotten back into red grapes.

Also, anyone ever try a "doughnut" peach? Wow! Really tender and juicy, especially since peaches are typically hard to predict with a very narrow window of edibility.

As a side note, anyone who doubts the differences between organic and traditionally-grown produce should do a side-by-side taste comparison. There is none.

+1 Cantaloupes rock. Blue Bell ice cream company had a few years ago a 'cantaloupe n cream' by the gallon. My spare freezer in the garage was filled with it!!

Red onion FTW, raw. Also, raw red bell peppers cut with a dash of salt is yum!

You know I think I'll have to agree with you on Cantaloupe. Come to think of it, until a year ago I hated it.

When you find the perfect "musk melon" it's like sex in your mouth.

Since Jerry brought it up. Those who don't know there are no such things as Cantalope in the USA. Only musk melon varities.

There is no contest for me - Strawberries. But they have to be British (not for any patriotic reasons, its just that i prefer the taste).
