Texas, I've known many people that have used Creatine. Usually it's the amateur and the beginners IMO. It's not going to hurt you to try it, it's just from what I've seen the gains and the strength gains are only temporary.

It sucked for my brother... He literally had some of the hottest girls I've seen in my life pawing at him all the time. He even started to model etc. Talk about being jealous for awhile lol. He still gets the girls and still looks good, but I can tell he does not puff out his chest as much :>)

I just got back from the supplement store and bought some ON Isolate Whey and Syntha-6 slow-release whey. The guy working there steered me clear of Muscle Milk as it has more fat and is simply a 'dirtier' protein than the Syntha-6.

With regards to NO-Xplode, I'm not going to judge it until I try it. Weight-training is all about listening to your body and seeing how it responds to the way you treat it. And it is for this reason that I don't browse websites like BB.com because they are full of 'know-it-alls' who preach one method that has worked for them as the be-all end-all to weight-training. Regardless, the guy at the supplements store gave me a serving of NO-Xplode, and my brother has a full container of it that he never got around to using so I'm going to cycle it for a month and see what happens. If I get anxiety or the jitters, I won't use it anymore. But then again, when I first started my EC stack (ephedrine + caffeine), I was on a different planet for the first couple of days, and eventually these side-effects were subdued.

Onto the creatine... I'm not sure why you guys are bashing it. I've cycled it before, and all it does is gives you a pump. It serves its purpose, and you would have to be a complete fool to think that the effects would continue to last after you've cycled off it. The creatine I used in the past was SAN CM2 Creatine-Ethyl-Ester-HCI. It's a very clean creatine and I experienced no sides at all (some people get acne, etc). You also don't need to ramp up your useage like some of the crappier creatines. Simply take one tablespoon half an hour before your workout, and one immediately after.

The guy at the store also gave me a couple of samples of Size-On. It's a creatine that's designed to be taken during your workout. I have no idea how to cycle this with my SAN CM2 or the NO-Xplode, so I think I'm going to put the samples aside for the time being. I'm not trying to kill myself here.

Truthfully speaking, I'm generally an anti-supplements kinda guy, but I've been working my ass off in the gym lately so I just want to see what happens to my physique if I do a cycle of the aforementioned supplements.

Not sure about the overall profile, but MM and Syntha seem similar from what I've read. Both are worth taking to help add weight. And they both taste good. I'll actually be using Syntha next go round, as I'm almost out of MM, so I can switch it up.

Have a sample of Superpump 250 that I still haven't tried. Just waiting for the right time. I'll probably take it when I'm off work one day.

I'm gonna start this work out plan today.
    http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/wotw41.htm

I haven't really done any sort of organized style of lifting since I started, just worked each body part. So I'll be interested to see my results after the 8 weeks. Plus it fits into my timeline I'm usually at ~45-50 minutes is usually what I spend at the gym.

Finally have power back at my place, so I can get back to a normal schedule again.

I've added glutamine, taurine, dextrose, and BCAAs to my list of supplements as well. Should be interesting to see how they work.

    Today I ate the following:

7am: 1 scoop casein, 1 cup skim milk
    8am: 1 cup oats, 1 banana
10am: 2 slices extra lean deli turkey, 2 slices whole wheat bread, 1 slice havarti cheese
12pm: 10oz chicken breast, 1 cup brocolli, 1 cup brown rice
2pm: 6 whole wheat crackers, 1 cup cottage cheese
    3pm: 1 cup carrots, 1 cup snowpeas
5pm (pre-workout): 1 scoop isolate whey, 1 cup skim milk, 1/2 cup oats
    7pm (post-workout): 1 scoop isolate whey, 1 cup water
    8pm: 10oz chicken breast, 1 wheat flatbread
    10pm: 1 cup cottage cheese
11pm (est): 2 scoops casein, 1 cup skim milk

I am bloated as hell. I haven't ate this much in a LONG time.

Lost a lot of fat, gained a lot of muscle. Sometimes I'd see my nutritionist and no movement on the scale but dropped quite a bit in body-fat%...frustrating, but ya gotta look at the whole picture. Those Atkins dieters drop impressive weight, but they look emaciated and put it back as soon as they eat again...and they have no energy or endurance. The only way to do it is the hard way!

    Weight-training 2-3x per week
    Personal trainer 2x per week
    Racquetball monday night league

    Wed/Fri gym routine:

    Run 2 miles on treadmill
    8am spin-class
    Run 1.5 miles on treamill
    9:15 spin-class
Swim 1.25 miles (freestyle, butterfly, backstroke sets)

    3.5 hours 2,275 calories

Mountain bike ride 2.5 hours each weekend.

It gets addicting....but it's so fun blowing through wardrobes!! :D

Les is actually right about one thing, it takes a life change and not some fad diet. Weight loss is governed by laws of physiology. 2 lbs a week of fat (MAX) can be lost with hard work and diet.

PLAN A: Swimming, running, weight training and sex with a woman who still turns you on! ;):)

There's a commandment out there about coveting other mens' wives but if you want me to opine, in keeping with the theme of this thread, your wife seemed to look alright (shapewise) the last time I saw her, whenever that was.... Don't let her know how you think about things if you want to keep her going....just tell your friends if you need to vent. ;)

My wife, like yours too....is in great shape! Personal trainer, boot-camp, etc. Really great that we're all getting fit & trim. It'd seem we've each lost more weight then our children weigh. When you pick 'em up it's really amazing to think that much weight is off our bodies....gotta be less strain on our hearts, speaking of which.....

It's your forum, your realm, your world....so fine, this is where you want it to happen. (I may have stole that from Jerry McGuire, sorry)

Yes Dave, I read your digs....sorry you're still hurting. I suppose you keep poking at me in hopes I'll say something that you can consider provocation so you can 'push the button' or 'pull the trigger'. I know you kept emails that I sent ya long ago and it wouldn't be the first time you've sent my wife an email...and I haven't forgetten that you copied an Evite list as well. And heck, is there a contractor out there who doesn't get paid cash on a few jobs that the IRS wouldn't want to know about? Then there's that children's orphanage I stole money from, the iceberg I put in front of the Titanic and who can forget how I framed Winona Ryder for shop-lifting....(but I did it to impress Madonna and you know I feel about her!)

I suppose a new screen-name will pop up and attack me or perhaps some fresh junk-mail will arrive at my house with interesting names on it...but the lesson to learn is that when we abuse our friends (or wind our toys too tightly)...weird things can happen. Truth of the matter is, most people are so busy leading their lives that they don't have time nor care about the intricacies and details of other people's lives....and the people talking crap are the ones that truly end-up looking bad anyways.

Hey, we've both lost weight, have wonderful wives, our kids are doing great, we're living in a free country, driving Ferrari's and Nazi's aren't trying to put us in gas chambers....the proverbial glass is 99% full. Do what you need to do if you feel you must, but let's try to wrap this up by Yom Kippur and blow it out with the rest of those 189,000 calories that we've each lost.....please.

I'll still buy lunch and we can split a whole head of lettuce and all the diet coke you can drink!....either way the ball is in your court; you can slam a return or take the better path.

Good job. It's funny how individuals and body types differ; to me it looks like you're hardly eating, but my scale is different. (6'4", 230lbs). Before I graduated from college, I was up to 255lbs.

Anyway, keep it up and stay disciplined and INTENSE in the gym. Intensity and focus are what creates results in the gym. You have the diet, now train HARD for 3 months and get back to us. You will look like a different person.

^ Thanks for the kind words.

I've gained a couple of pounds since the start of this bulk. I'm not sure what % of it is muscle vs. fat, but I can tell you that my muscles are tighter, and I feel like I am getting bigger (this might be because of the creatine). My diet hasn't been exactly clean (I may or may not have had McDonalds after having a couple of drinks - well several drinks - the other night), but I have been following the diet I posted up pretty much every day. One thing that I have found funny is that my strength has appeared to be DECREASING, but on that note, I have also been training for repetitions rather than weight so that might have something to do with it. Regardless, I am pleased with my progress the past couple of weeks. I should also note that I didn't end up buying the glutamine, taurine, dextrose, or BCAA's simply because I was too lazy to drive to the store. Soon though, soon.

This picture was taken today. My scale reads 177 (mind you this is after dinner and my bedtime shake).

Deadlifted for the first time in a couple of months today and completely shredded my shins. Also did some squats, lunges, and a bit of cardio. I'm so top-heavy, it's not even funny. For the longest time, I was 'that guy' that would only do upper body exercises (I have bad knees due to years of playing catcher in baseball) and the end result is twigs for legs and biceps that are bigger than my calves. I'm working on changing that though. Anyways, just stepped on the scale and weighed in at 178, but this was after my post-workout shake. Also, if anyone has a problem with me posting pictures on a regular basis, please let me know and I will start a new thread. Thanks!

I'm sure 99.99% of the world's population would feel skinny standing next to Jay.

That's a really cool person to know/have as a buddy. I don't have any friends that are into bodybuilding (let alone Mr. Olympia contestants), so I'm pretty much on my own when it comes to this. Heck, I often get made fun of for going to the gym after work instead of going for a pint.

Regardless, your physique is impressive. If possible, can you post up some info regarding your routine/diet/supps? I'm sure many of us would be very thankful.

    Cheers,
