360's? what is the problem with the 360's? most accounts say they are 100% reliable cars?

For the record, I had to own a 355, sell it, then regret it enough to come to the realization that it is all worth it.

the f355 is the best car ever made ever. and i agreee with RossaCorsaItaly when he says he rather be on the back of a truck in a ferrari 355 paying large bills (its not that expensive to own a 355) then be driving a reliable honda accord or any other car for that matter. 0-60 4.7 sec, 183 mph top speed, 380 brake horse power, 6 speed manuel gear box or F1 style padle shifters, 5 valves per cylinder, berlenetta, targa, or spyder. Handling SUPERB (not a fan of soft tops) Best car ever.

sorry to burts your bubble but the performance of this car is nothing to brag about (maybe back in 95). The Lotus exige 240s has alot better numbers (top speed exception) and you can buy a new one for less then a used 355. I am still considering a 355 for 2 reasons only, one is looks and 2 is sound..I can own alot faster cars for a lot less money or headaches for that matter.

the performance is VERY good still.. anyone that drives a car on a TRACK (not those 0-60 morons) know that 4.7 0-60 can accomplish some fantastic track numbers.. the car is awesome on the track and it can do great..

There will always be FASTER and LESS EXPENSIVE cars than a ferrari.. if you think the allure of ferrari is the performance and that alone then you miss the point.

as an example.. the new db9 or vantage v8 are slower to 60 than the f355.. and they are both considered very fast cars.. the 360 is only 3 or 4 tenths (about 4.2 0-60) faster, and that means little on a track..

You are right, you don't own the F355 for speed. But for a car with 14 year old technology you can't say that it isn't fast even by todays standards. I've driven numerous 1000hp Supras, nitrous/cam'd Z06, 700hp Viper, etc. Sure the F355 is not excessively fast as the stated cars. But it's fast enough for anything you need to accomplish on city streets and you can still have a good time with the car at auto-x and track due to the superb handling.

The last I checked, I was driving a car for enjoyment, not racing for my dinner.

I had an Exige S, and it is a great car. And very, very different from the 355. Some things better, some things... not so much.

a 0-60 degree race with an exige S 240 vs a ferrari 355 would have the exige S about a carlength ahead at 60, then about 4+ carlengths behind at 140.. So the F355 is faster overall.. just not to 60.. and honestly who the F cares about that?

on a GOOD and LARGE roadcourse like road atlanta or willow springs.. I'll take a 355 and get MUCH better laptimes, the Exige S 240 even at 240 HP is just enough enough when there are 120+MPH straights.. F355 will beat it..

Wow, good thing my flame suit was on or I would of burned with the rest of the U.S economy..lol

Anyway, the post was just to clarify that other cars can be bought cheaper if speed is what one really wanted. THAT IS ALL!!

But I guess some of you can't tolerate someone pointing out that other cars worth less can be superior to a Ferrari in the performance department.

I like the 355 and that is why I am on here, I am trying to see if it’s a worthwhile purchase to DRIVE not become a conversation piece in my garage.

Jerrari - I have a hard time believing that you own a Ferrari, that includes die cast models. But, if you do own one I have happy to pay you $.20 on the dollar for it in a years time, Deal FRIEND?

Ahhh, the low IQ come out to try to play with the big boys. You trolls that come on here and bash our cars are unbelieveable. You don't have your own Ferrari and nor will you ever, so you try to make yourself feel better by bashing OUR cars. It's really nice that you find it funny that the U.S. economy is in a bad state, that is really mature. I will take your deal for $.20 on my 355, that's a great deal......I was going to only ask $.10! You should always let the other guy speak first. Of course, that is IF I HAD a real 355, and not a die cast model...that was a great joke, you are a funny person. I see on your profile that you own a Lada. Those cars are SWEET! Is yours as cool as the one below? Do you take that to track days? I'll bet it dominates!

Seriously, this is common knowledge. Do you really think Ferrari owners don't understand this? Apples to apples (i.e. comparing un-modified cars of the same age) Ferrari's stack up pretty well. Yes there's a plenty of newer cars that are faster than old used Ferrari's (0-60 at least). We get it. Yes you can take any car, mod it, and it might be faster than a 3 generation old Ferrari. We get that too.

0-60 time is essentially a worthless figure, especially when it comes to cars that aren't being tracked. On the road it's just stop light to stop light. One factory test driver gets to 60 a couple of tenths faster then the test driver from the other manufacture and this is the deciding factor of which car to go with? A Ferrari is purchased because of the history of the marque, the astounding aesthetics, the sound it produces the feel of the cockpit, smell of the leather and the willingness to cough up whatever running costs are involved in keeping it right, both mechanically and cosmetically because it is truly one of the great automotive works of art. Ask the owner of a 275 GTB/4 what the 0-60 time is on their car.

I can buy a Z28 for $4,000 and with $6,000 run 11 second 1/4 mile times and make your Exige my little biatch.. But at the end of the day I have a $10,000 **** box.

What is your point besides stating the obvious?

EVERY car ever made has issues. As far as a "problem" goes, I would rate this one very low in importance or cost to fix.

House ATM? I wish I had an ATM at my house...Driven? I drive it as much as my schedule allows--I don't have off every weekend or the luxury of Holidays off----I suck it up and do the best I can...

I can guess as to how much a car is worth, BUT it is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it--in this economy, I wouldn't say alot more...

I'm driving a 997S now and am looking at buying a 355 or 360. I've been doing research into the maintenance costs and haven't been able to find much hard data. Why don't some of you guys who claim that the service costs aren't that bad post hard numbers or scan a bill? I'd really like to have some real data. I've always loved the 355 and think it looks better than the 360 but I've heard horror stories about maintenance.
