The mechanic in the middle of the first photo is Nereo Iori. He worked for Maserati and then to Ferrari in the Sala Prova with Engineer Busi. When Busi was kidnapped and later killed he came to the States to work for Chinetti. One of the very best IMHO.

I visited the Ferrari factory a few days after Clay's second place finish at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza in 1976 (Lauda, though recovering from his horrific accident, finished fourth). I expressed enthusiasm for Clay's performance, but a discouraging glance and a discreet shake of the head told me his days with the team were numbered.

Here is my father outside the service center in Modena on that day.

You mean you have a problem with the Jaguar? XK120 #8 was entered by Escalier/Guerin and finished 18th OA. Best wishes, Kare

Does anyone have any good photos of the 1963 and 1964 Daytona Continental winners that they would share? Both were NART 250 GTOs, 4219 and 5571.

Absolutely right. #2053GT. Maybe shot after Tour De France 1963, judging from the side pipes and the re-spray.
Note the badge between the side vents (Carrozzeria Sports Cars ?). Can be seen on the car during the 1961-62 seasons.

Drogo Carrozzeria Sports Cars badge can also be seen in the photos of 2735 GT reproduced on pages 242 to 245 of the book "Making a Difference", two volume publication about the coachbuilt road-going Ferraris, non-Pininfarina, published February 2006.
