That is definitely the best deal I have seen from an authorized dealer. Maybe the red interior is the reason why it is priced like it is? (Although I like it)

How did red suddenly become bordeaux? When the 550 came out Peter Robinson had a nice dark gray on Maroon leather example. That interior was way better than red, much darker. Still I was expecting 10,000 miles and not 2 something for that money. The sky really must be falling...

There is a Red (real red) and there is a Bordeaux which is darker then in pictures.

I first saw that one several weeks ago, they were asking for $379k IIRC. That's a big price drop. I do think the Bordeaux interior is the main obstacle for a quick sale on that car. I personally like the look of it, but in the US it's not a favored interior color.

Yes, I misspoke. From the pictures, bordeaux stands out, especially compared to more traditional interior choices. However, I have never seen bordeaux in person so I will take your word that it is much darker than red in person.

That is a good deal too. However, the car in the link has the standard wheels and most likely the standard brakes. There is no mention of it having the carboceramic brake system which was an $18K option. Challenge wheels were approx. a $3,500 Option

True...the wheels are nicer on the black car. Miles are half on the red/black....not that it equates to much (1300 miles less) and we all know that the "red" color although not my favorite gets an edge over any other color.

Plus I think the interior on the Lake Forest car is going to hurt it.... even though I think it looks sharp, I don't know if I could have red leather day in/day out.

I think the 599's will soon be in the high $200k range. Wait for the economy tgo get worse and the snow to come

As a modern V12 GT, they'd have gotten there anyway but maybe not at this recently alarming rate of depreciation. Funny thing, the Auto Gallery still has a red one with a 499K ask on it! Glue sniffers fo sho! ;)

You're probably right. But when 599s can be had for the high 200s, think about how devalued your Murci's going to be.

Local dealer has recently had @ least one 599 costumer back out of taking delivery of their new '08 model; car has been offered @ MSRP to good established clients. I see this as a sign that 599's will soon be widely available, and will follow a depreciation curve similar to a late year 550 or 575. It's still a great car, for anyone that can tolerate and afford six figure depreciation.

Do you guys think these cars will be priced the same as the older front V12 cars are now?

Probably not much, it's a 2002 and has neared the bottom of its depreciation. I doubt we'll ever see Murci drop below $100k.

There are two issues. Every exotic car is going to take a huge hit until the economy gets better and that may take years.

Front engined V12's will likely fall more than Sports Cars if the past is a guide. Keep in mind that Ferrari is going to almost double their World Wide production with the California. The party is over for the foreseeable future.

My guess is over the next 24 months:

    599's will break 140K
    430's will break 130K
    M's will break 80K
    G's will break 50K

Nothing will be unaffected. The last time this happened 250 GTO's broke from 17 million to 3.5 million. It took 18 years for them to return to 17 million.

Keep in mind that I have been begged by a dealer to buy a new Ferrari at under msrp during the last break which I did to help him out. (An unsold new 308 GTBi) Anyone who doesn't think it's possible to happen again is fooling themselves.

    I hope I'm wrong.

Napolis I think you're spot on here, Ferrari couldn't have picked a worse time to launch the California and double their production. Ferrari dealers are about to get a taste of the real world.
