You really hate us don't you? Naa we were all excused from class the following day. OSU wanted it more, we tend to have one of these games every year then head to the championship game or the Rose Bowl. Tough life. Time to get ready for Oregon and get back on our feet. FIGHT ON!
Yes, now you are seeing things the way they really are... Parity Parody... It is all part of the super duper difficult intraconference play in the Pac 10. This argument can be made for any of the teams losing within conference play. Oregon State was simply too good for USC and they lured them into complacency by losing 2 of their first three games. BT
D'oh, a loss by the Canes in Pro Player. I didn't see the whole game, but it appears our conditioning has let another team beat us out in the 4th quarter. The final play gave us a chance for a win with a 20 yard TD pass, but our receiver could not hold on, and we lost. It is really frustrating to keep losing the close games in conference. We are on a 5 year roll with this routine. BT
Second half sucked....but Bama still won by 11. 30 2nd half points = unacceptable. But, Roll Tide....
So USC (#1), Georgia (#3), and Florida (#4) all lost. I guess that means it will be Oklahoma, Mizzou, LSU, and Texas for the top four this week. Wisconsin also lost so put Texas Tech into single digit ranking as well. Three Big 12 teams in the top four, does that make them the premier conference this year? Sadly, if Missouri and Oklahoma win out they will be 1-2 and one will not get to play in the championship because of the Big 12 championship game.
As much as I hate to admit it (I graduated from Auburn, twice), I was cheering on the tide last night. Maybe I just can't stand Georgia...
I graduated from Alabama - but I certainly understand why you would say that Football in the south goes very deep, and not always the way you think. I've always told my high school daughter that I loved her, and would support any college, even Auburn, or career she wanted to do except ONE thing: join the military. Last week, she came up to me and said, "Dad, what do you know about Norte Dame?" I replied, "Robin, I love you very much and will support you in anything you want to do except TWO things..." Alabama folks from the 70s - 80s will understand.
If she does come to ND.. is she single? lol. hey, we're doing better We've already gotten as many wins so far as we did the entire last season
More like: 1 Oklahoma 2 Alabama 3 Texas 4 LSU 5 Mizz. Something like that. You can't leave Bama out of the top 4 now. No one has else has beaten two top ten ranked teams. Bama did it on the road, impressively.
USC should have fallen further than 9. They lost to an unranked 25 point underdog. They completely got outplayed and the AP poll needs to get off their knees. The Pac 10 is a joke just like the rest of USC's schedule.
Indeed. I think Bama definitely can win that one, too. Will be an even tougher road game though. Playing in LSU's environment is just a bit more difficult. But if Bama plays like they did in the first half against UGA, and keeps the intensity in the 2nd half in that LSU game, they shouldn't have too much trouble knocking off LSU, either.
AP Poll 1. Oklahoma 2. Alabama 3. LSU 4. Missouri 5. Texas 6. Penn State 7. Texas Tech 8. BYU 9. USC 10. South Florida Texas will play Oklahoma, Missouri, and Texas Tech within 4 weeks. If they win all those, they would be the unquestioned #1 in my book. What will probably happen though is each of the Big 12 teams will end up with one loss and little chance of of the BCS championship game.
Nah, not this season (I think). One-loss Big 12 team headed into the Big 12 championship game, and walking out the winners would be hard to pass up for the BCS championship game. Ditto for someone from the SEC under the same scenario. Still really early to prognosticate or predict, but one-loss teams from the SEC & Big 12 (ie. conference championship game winners) will likely super-cede one-loss teams from the Big 10 & Pac 10, this season, IMHO. . . ACC & the Big East should be forced to relinquish their BCS passes this season... (and trust me, it hurts to say that, as I'm a Big East & Miami fan)
What's to like? A overrated program that has the easiest schedule in the country with a bunch of knob gobblers in the press on board who do nothing but talk about how great USC is.
mizzous first test comes this coming week against nebraska, then comes oklahoma state, and then texas at texas, if we get through those 3, it should be pretty smooth sailing up until kansas in the last game of the season, if we get through those 3, im pretty sure we can pencil ourselves in as big 12 north champs for this year.
