I'd feel good about Oklahoma, Alabama, or Mizzou getting the National Championship this year.
Lots of upsets this weekend though. We may really have this parity that people always talk about.

I'll put my money on Texas. ;) Better hope your defense can get to McCoy.:D

Not any big teams, but holy crap, Rice just slaughtering North Texas 77-20. How far can you run up the score! That would have been a fun game to watch just because of all the TD's.

I'm calling it here, first. Urban Meyer is taking some heat in the Gator nation, rightfully so. We lost to Old Miss. C'mon VANDY beat them. I didn't see the whole game but saw the entire second half. Old Miss MANHANDLED us in the trenches. Their lines looked great and on a couple plays their offense looked like the 49'ers under Steve Young.

Even though he didn't get that last first down, Tebow looked good as did Harvin. What about the rest of the guys? And on Meyer--once he recruited his own players, they were supposed to be the next coming of Utah a few years back. We looked so one dimensional it was pathetic. What happened?

We lost some luster Saturday, losing to Old Miss at home is unacceptable and the Zooker got fired for blowing the same kind of games.

On the other hand, how about Alabama? I can't stand Saban cause he's a lying sack of **** but I haveto admit he's a hell of a college coach. Destroying Jawja in their black unis was classic.

Miami/UNC was a good game BT, I agree it was probably conditioning. Was watching the Gators and UM back and forth.

At least your team looks like a "Team". We look like a team on defense and 11 confused kids on offense. Franklin better get them moving soon...

Yeah, it was a good game with a losing result. At least I won't sweat our every move this year!:) Conditioning and a lack of focus definitely played a part in our loss, as well as the poor offensive play calling after the first quarter. On the bright side, I got paid on some work for the first time since last December, I cashed out ALL my investment accounts Friday afternoon, and an investment house I did locally (a VERY cheap one) asked to move the closing up a bit. So overall LIFE IS GOOD!
I will have to pick a favorite team for the championship this year over the next few weeks, and still hope for the Canes to be in a decent bowl game.
Off to the mountains tomorrow AM, can't wait!

I just got back from the Minnesota vs Indiana game. And, well...
Imagine two cars, each going 100mph strait at each other. You are watching, and know whatever happens will be awesome. Suddenly all four wheels on both cars fall off, and the cars skid to a stop two feet from each other.

thats what the game was like

Didn't get to watch the ASU game, but, we are screwed. Carpenter is out, hopefully not bad, but, we are doing horrible, after watching the losses, even against UNLV, it was just ridiculous. We have to win all our games from now on, which won't happen. USC and Oregon are looking hot right now. Jack Elway might be getting put in against USC, if Rudy Carpenter can't recover in time. We need to step it up, those games just look ridiculous seeing our team running around, getting sacked that many times, getting blocked kicks.

After watching Mizzou completely destroy Nebraska tonight, and look virtually flawless doing it, there should be no reason to think they will not be #2 or 3 this week behind Oklahoma. Texas in two weeks is gonna be huge.

They shouldn't. That score is entirely reflective of horrible coaching on the part of the AU coaching staff, and the lack of talent at the QB position. There is no excuse for the outcome of that game with Vandy having the #12 offense and #12 defense in the SEC. They will finally make a bowl game this year, but Georgia and Florida will handle them relatively easily.

Well, I'm personally hoping Alabama pays attention, as sometimes they 'lose focus and momentum' towards the end, although it certainly keeps Coach Saban spun up during the week. I think this is going to be a year of more surprises yet.
