Go buy or at least rent the "Speed Racer!"

The picture quality is just amazing. It is demo material for sure. Even if you didn't like the movie, it is worth it for the pure eye candy. This is the first time I really realized how much "better" the Blu-Ray is to the DVD.

:) Planet Earth was my first Blu-Ray. I still don't know how they shot some of the amazing footage.

ummm, would like my 2 hours & DVD money back from watching speed racer. Guess I'm an old f*rt, too much like an overgrown video game to me.

Planet Earth is amazing. Blue Planet also. Nature shows are spectacular in high-def. PBS aired a HD special on China a few months ago that was great.

Speed Racer was full of dazzling colors in the theater. Both my girls (9 & 13) enjoyed it, and I didn't think it was all that bad. A little hard to follow at times as there was too much to look at, but I said the same thing to the ending fight scene of Transformers.

I saw that, but I saw it in Standard Def. so I couldn't see it awesome style. If it's the same show I watched, I don't really think I would care if it was in HD or not. I watched one where this lady or guy(don't remember :D) went to a flea market, and saw items in their market and ate some food. I doubt its the same thing though. :D

Good thread so far, I haven't watched a blue ray movie on my PS3 yet. I thought about adding Speed Racer to my collection but it didn't get the best of ratings.

Just this past weekend we watched Speedracer on our new home theater. Played the movie on the PS3, but the disc was not a blu-ray. This still didn't matter as the movie was stunning to see.
Movie itself was still stoopid though.

Oh, btw, check out 300 on blu-ray! Albeit a tad grainy due to the specFX, but still very cool.
