Very good point. It makes one wonder weather or not it was a wise move for Ferrari to release the California - with America in mind - in such an economic climate.

One could see the Estoque, Rapide and Panamera as utilitarian in the idea that with an exotic car one can still transport four or five people.

The styling on this thing is rediculous. The front I have to say is brilliant. It shows one can have 3 dimentions within the design of a front end. Just like the Enzo. This is where the praise stops.

The side looks more and more like a Dodge Charger every time I look at it. The rear end says Camero all over it.

This just doesnt say "Lamborghini" to me. Honestly - it says Audi. Just the idea of a four-door Lamborghini says more about the parent company than the Italian marque itself.

I think seeing this thing in person next to the Porsche Panamera the Porsche will look like a complete failure. Now the Aston Rapide 4 door might have the beauty edge, but the as far as aggressiveness goes, Lambo maintains its pedestal. Should this concept become reality, I hope its final design is a two door a'la 612, but at a $200k price or less instead of the 612's $300k plus range.

Upon first glance of the complete car in photos, I honestly wanted it to be more exotic, but like always the pictures really don't tell the whole story.

Just like with the Revonton, I love the side, I love the rear...I'm just not sold on the front. a pretty interesting concept though! Now for the LP640 SV...

I think I like it. As with everything, I hold judgement until I see it in person.

The yellow is much more elegant and timeless. The "in your face" surfacing a la the Reventon will age quickly. It's a fad and will pass.

The teaser pics had my interest piqued. But the realization leaves me very sad. And I agree about the timing not being great for a $200K 4-door. Maybe the Chinese will fill the order book.

I like it, but I wish Lamborghini had applied this to the other 2 cars instead.

Learned this today from a Lambo Dealer. Lamborghini has NOT committed to building this car yet. They are putting it out there as a trial balloon so to speak. The Dealers are to have a meeting and give their opinion on whether the car should be built or not. The dealer I spoke with was NOT in favor of building the car. FWIW

Lamborghini should NOT build this car. It looks like a four door muscle car looking for an identity. It just doesn't work in my eyes. There is nothing Lamborghini about this car.

Which is what should be done IMO.

Aston Martin let the Rapide sit on the pages of magazines and floated a car from show to show getting a good feel for how the public would take the car before building it. Lambo can NOT throw this kind of idea at ol' faithful customers and expect a latching on. I say let this thing float for a while - a good year - before deciding ANYTHING.

It's just too unconventional to just "begin selling."
