Saw an episode of "What is with that really expensive house?" on Discovery today. A guy in Tucson was featured and he was driving around a 250 GTO in the beginning of the show Can't seem to find a video of it online
I had a car deliverd to me a few years ago and I was wondering why the driver was driving the transport so slow down the hill. He parked the transport on a flat piece of ground, opened the back door and that Blue GTO with yellow stripe was parked inside. He had to start it up and move it onto the street to get to my car. As I was checking the GTO out a mail truck came around the corner and almost hit that car, we put a few cones out to protect it.

There's a Cavallino article that may put all the discussions to rest ;-) http://www.cavallino.com/articles/3765article.html Note that the author names the chassis 2765SA (for SuperAmerica) instead of GT
Here's a photo of 3765SA (or GT_) at the Nurburgring 1000km in 62... (copyright?) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here are a couple of GTO's from Cavallino. Ralph Lauren's GTO in bare metal and 3387GT Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Anyone have any interior photos? It is always cool to see the exterior, but how did the interiors differ from each car? Erik
Here's one. If I recall correctly, it is Andrew Davis' car. Though the interiors were pretty much the same as delivered, individual owners made their own appointments that varied the look and comfort level. One GTO even has glass roll-up windows. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Let's just hope that whoever becomes caretaker of 3987 after RL treats it's history with more respect than he has shown. Peter
Check thess articles from Cavallino then Hemmings... The denomination LM, GT or SA is being discussed... Cavallino: http://www.cavallino.com/articles/3765article.html Hemmings: http://www.hemmings.com/hsx/stories/2007/01/01/hmn_feature1.html According to Cavallino it should be SA.
