I'm looking for a decent set up w/ subwoofer etc for under $100. Nothing fancy w/ ipod this or that. Bought the Logitech X-240 for a laptop at work & am not impressed (5 watts each satellite & 15 sub) . What is good cheap stuff? Thanks.

Creative Labs or Altec Lansing for cheap speakers. Nothing fancy but they work.

I have an old Altec Lansing on my graphics PC at work that was top of the line many years ago on my previous PC for video editing that rocks pretty good. Sound Blaster was king for eq tuning. Something like that would be good.

How far out? Nothing like a huge juicy American steak to start the evening with. Some nice California merlot makes a perfect combo. Bring it.
BTW: I was born in NY & lived in NJ.

I was only a tot when my family moved from NJ to LA. Lived in California till 1969. Yeah, Viet Nam, Hells Angels, bell bottoms, fun flowers, hippies, & peace signs were what I moved to GA with. I was always beyond a rebel in the deep south. Come on down here for some serious pig pickin’ if you like & I’ll load you up w/ moonshine.

How do you feel about "open box" equipment sold on Ebay? Can be had for $30+ less than new.

Forget crabs & let’s go for size w/ lobster up north please. We have the choice blue crabs in the deep south anyway. Yeah also huge: grouper, snapper, stripers, cuda, etc. Is not size everything?
