The momentum gained with the 375 PF Spider thread should make for perfect timing to discuss and show the coupe versions as well.

To me they represent a unique era in the Ferrari history, perhaps my favourite time.

I have to unspectacularly kick it off with a scan from Michael Frostick's Pinin Farina, Master Coachbuildr book.

REALLY difficult choice between a 375 coupe and a spider. I guess if I had to make a choice it would be the Rosselini coupe.

This picture is taken from Wikipedia, I stumbled upon it when I was reading up on some other models. The caption says the photographer "thinks this is a 1955 375 MM" but I can't find any other info on it. It's now my favorite Ferrari, and I'd like any info you guys can provide about it.

Yes, that coupe is really beautiful. Somehow I see some 300 SLR in it as well as some E-type Jaguar.

My preference goes to 0358 AM though, with its' purposeful regged look. Yet it has a certain elegance about it.

Yes, the Dubonnet 250 GT (0393 GT) was done by Pininfarina not long after 0490 AM and carries over a lot of the styling elements of 0490.

(BTW, Since Gary has his answer, I'm going to go ahead and merge this into the current 375 MM Coupe/Berlinetta thread.)

I love the Rossellini car, and have to tell a story on myself. When I was buying cars from Rome through my friend Roberto Goldoni, he told me about this car , which was tied up in a protracted bankruptcy (is there another kind in Italy?). I cautioned him to keep tabs on it, which he assured me he would do. Several years later, I attended my first meeting of the Club Ferrari France, and Jess Pourret was introducing me, and eventually he came to an older gentleman and said, "This is M. Charles Robert, who just purchased the Rossellini 375"! That thud you heard was my jaw dropping! I tried to buy it from Robert, but he held out for many years. Probably, in retrospect, it was just as well, as I would only have sold it for $200 profit! Since then, I have missed many cars that the owners had promised to me if and when they sold (how soon they forget!) The moral is that if you are chasing a particular car, you can't be lax; you have to keep at it.

    These are wise words!

Not only you need to be relentless, but also patient. I know a friend who waited for years but kept on talking to, eventually befriending the owner of his dream car... He recently finally had his dream come true...
