Seems like one is coming up for sale in December.
For me, this is the top on the desirable Ferrari list (just below the ex- Mcafee 121LM!).
Still, a pretty rare event to see a 121LM for sale. This one after 20+ years with the same owner.

Have you ever riden or driven in a 121LM?

I rode with Bill Ziering multiple times when he had the ex-McAfee car. A beast is too kind. Lots of engine, questionable handling, sub-par brakes. An interesting car but not one of the greatest. It may have been Car & Driver way, way back when that had an article on one of the cars that was raced in the US in the late 50s; not a kind experience or article.

I think it was R&T. C&D didn't exist in the fifties.

+1- I was in the 1987 Mille Miglia in 0532 with owner George Shelley, and the car was a beast!

I tried to find the article today. Looked in a series of the reprint books (Brooklands and Road & Track) but couldn't find it. For some reason I remember it not being Road & Track but it could be the predecessor to Car & Driver.

Anyone remember the article? Is it in one of the compilation books?

Wasn't C&D's predecessor called Sports Car Graphic, or something similar?

Sports Car Graphic was Petersen Publications. Then in a trade with Road & Track (Bond, Parkhurst, Bond) Car Life went to Petersen and Sports Car Graphic went to R&T. End of the magazines - subscription lists were incorporated into Motor Trend and R&T.

The magazine in question was Sports Cars Illustrated. I remember the article but I can't lay my hands on it right now. I think the driver was Honest John Kilborn.
