I need to find a reputable agency for a live in housekeeper

put an ad on craiglist or in local papers, interview a few potential candidates, if you like them hire a PI to do investigative work. I'd feel more comfortable doing that than trusting an internet employment agency to do it for me (especially when most of them are getting paid by the potential nanny to find them a job)

I run a multi-family office in Denver. This is one of the hardest things to find - good household help.

 

I would really think long and hard before I had a live in. There is a lot of draw backs to a live in that won't be seen until you are in the middle of it.

My lady gets here at 9 and leaves at 6pm. I wouldn't want a live again EVER!!! You lose a lot of your privacy with a live in. If you insist on a live in I would start out with 8 hours a day and work my way up from there. MAKE SURE YOU SIGN A CONTRACT about confidentiality.

If you want to move someone across the country I can put you in touch with someone on NSX who has a friend who is a live in. She isn't cheap but I hear shes good.

 

You could make up a brief flyer about your employment offer and canvas them at a few of these establishmants in your area

I grew up with a live in housekeeper and it saved my parents quite a lot of headaches. Just make sure you still spend enough time with your kid and not rely on the housekeeper. I think my housekeeper knew me more than anyone in the house.

 

I lost my virginity at 13 to my parents' housekeeper!!!

I love housekeepers, especially ones with huge breasts like the one that popped my cherry.

Gotcha beat! 2 years younger and it was the 16 year old baby sitter. Smallish rack but I didn't complain!

 

Do you want me to get the number of the lady I know. She will relocate. She just turned down a job to work for a famous couple in NY. I was going to hire her but I don't want a live in. She had great references.

 

Mine was older though...in her 30's. Won't say how far into her 30's but it's safe to assume she's over 60 today. Yeesh!! LOL. This happened 1982-ish,

I grew up with a series of live-ins, and privacy was really lacking.

Mine gets here at 9 and leaves at about 7. It works for me. In any event, make sure you get a bonded agency who will cover you for losses, negligence, etc. done by one of their staffers.

Also, plus one on the confidentiality agreement.
