I am aware of 6 different paint colors of red for the Miura P400, P400S & P40SV.

Unfortunately I have only studied those 4 applied to the SV...

    - Rosso Granada Metallizzato
    - Rosso Rubino Metallizzato
    - Rosso Miura
    - Rosso Corsa

The color you are thinking of is Rosso Miura and has the PPG paint code 1-444-507 for the SV, but I bet the exact same color has a different paint code for th early cars! I have also seen the exact same color given a "new" name for later model years, and I have seen colors wrongly recorded on the factory data sheet...

    I know the SV.

It is the 755th Miura, chassis number 5102, engine number 30753, completed on July the 28th 1972 and sent to S.E.A Automobili di Roma for delivery. For many years it lived with an Aurelio G in Forli (Italy), and maybe it still does... This car retains it original livery of "Bruno Metallizzato" with "Avana pelle" interior. It sports a Countach LP400 steering wheel (gasp) currently. A very nice original car...

This image begs captions. How about this one for starters:

Passenger - "Honey this car is so loud you cant hear what I'm saying!"
Driver - "Well dear, youll just have to save your voice till we get there then..."

    Joe:

Can you tell on the original you have what is written between 1024 and 1021 on the right hand, just above Foitek-Hopf?

Also, car 13 says Lamy. Was this car delivered to Portugal? In the 80's there was a portuguese F1 driver named Pedro Lamy. I wonder if the person who took delivery of 13 is related to him.

    Thank you.
    Alberto

Hi Alberto, Pedro Lamy was not racing formula one in the 80's. Could have been a family member though got the Miura. He comes from a car family and continues to hold many auto interests in Portugal. And he continues to be a great car racer for many makes.

Marchese Gerino Gerini got 9 of the first 20 Miuras...about half! The Italian nobleman was Feruccio's number one dealer in the early days and he got what he wanted....

The second photo in post 4997 shows the visit by the association of former GP drivers, the tall man leaning into the car is prince Napolen while in the back with a mustache is Toulo de Graffenreid. They did all the factories, their visit got the VIP treatment at Lamborghini (Ferruccio took them out to lunch after the grand tour) and at Maserati. I am sure Enzo gave them some sandwiches in a damp courtyard:)
