Attended a car show/ gtg today at the parking lot adjacent to the AMC theatre in Woodbridge. Quite a diverse set of vehicles, and a few Ferrari's. One in particular, F40. Wow! Unfortunately all I had with me was my Panasonic FX 500. To view the slideshow in full screen click on the arrows at the end of the timeline. http://gallery.me.com/ezweig#100954
I think its finished for the year. It starts May 24 weekend, and is held every Monday night from 7pm until 9pm at the AMC theatre parking lot at Jane/Hwy 7 in Woodbridge. Its mainly a muscle car show and American show, but a few 'wildcards' such as Ferrari's and custom Harley's show up. The official Ferrari car show is held on Thursday nights at La Paloma parking lot at Weston Rd and hwy 7. There you will find dozens of Ferraris, Lambos, Maseratis and such.
The show has been happening for about 2 years now. The entire parking lot of La Paloma (behind Kelsey's, Canadian Tire) is filled with Ferrari's, Lancia's, classic Alfa's, and FIATS. Every Thursday is hit or miss. Sometimes there are spectacular cars there, ie F40's, Murcielago's, SLR's and I've even seen a few Pantera's too. The show is in Woodbridge, so you would probably see Ferrari's and Lambo's there every day of the week anyways! With the weather reaching 9 degrees at night, I doubt anyone shows up anymore. I had made a thread about it, but I can't find it anymore.
I attended the Thursday night Italian car meet a few weeks back with my Thema and it was an amazing night....literally hundreds of great vintage and modern Italian machinery. I was kind of thinking of cruising by this thursday if the weather is dry and see if any of the real hard core car guys show up.
I think 9 degrees is OK as long as it is NOT -9 degrees. Are you guys talking about this Thursday night ? What time ?
c'mon Brett...i'll meet you at 89 and the 400 and we can zip down to La Paloma from there...see who else shows up to shoot the breeze
Problems at work...Had to put in some late hours, so I wasn't able to attend. Did anyone go and take any pics? If the weather is good I may go next Thursday.
It was a great night with about 12-15 cars at any given time. I had a ride in a souped up Lancia Scorpion. What this guy has done with the motor in this car is nothing short of incredible...he will trade a ride in his car for a ride in your ferrari...( or in my case Ferrari powered Thema) ...well worth the trade. Most said they would return next week if the weather was good. Sorry, all the other pics had license plates exposed...so not posted. Beev
Was the guy with the Lancia Scorpion with the 308 owner (John)? Younger guy. I think the guy who I got the Fiat for my wife is the father-in-law of the Lanica Owner. I rember seeing it in his garage...I asked him if he wanted to sell it.
