Despite the Rain great turn out, again it proves that they dont melt in the rain.. Nice pics of you guys on the drive down.... Some real nice vintage stuff, a really great show. Wish I could have spend more time with you guys, look at NY post for some good pics and a small mistake made on my cars performance numbers...http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=216423

Sunday is looking spectacular. Anyone interested in cruising to Mystic to join up with a Corvette meet after our gathering? They got rained out last week and have re-scheduled. Sure would be funny if the parking lot garnered more attention than the corral. I figure a half dozen F-cars would do it. I'll be happy to lead down some amazing forest roads.

The fiberglass bodied Vette's got rained out, yet the steel bodied Ferrari's drove 60 miles in the rain???

Anyway looking like a great day Sunday, 74 and sunny. Let's see all those Ferrari's! ok and would love to have Patrick's Lambo too :D

Not sure I have time to drive to Mystic for the Corvette meet...I wonder if the discussion topic will be GM's $4+ share price (lower than when the first 'Vette was sold in '53) and if they'll have a warranty next year? I'd take a ZR1 any day, warranty or not :D

FYI...those that check this thread to see if we are going to be there should be aware that many of our "F-Troop" don't bother saying so here. You should expect someone will be there unless you see a denial here. It would be nice if all attendees would express there intentions so people don't think its 1 or 2 of us.

So far 10/12 has UConn, Myslow1, and Yours Truely confirmed. I'm sure more are coming.

Why would you do that - invade a Corvette get together? Corvette folks like Corvettes. Ferrari folks like Ferraris.

    Cuz its fun...

Really I've got some freinds in the show. They asked me to stop in and bring a few buddies. Kinda like the newfangled F-Car from FestaDiFerrari last week. I'm a fan of all cool cars.

The weather was fantastic today and we had a good turnout for one of the last nice Sunday's this year.

Lane, how was the Columbus Day Parade and the Corvette show? Any pictures from those events?

Hopefully we'll have at least one more before the leaves all fall off the trees. I made sure to take the long way home through some nice foilage areas.

Here are some pictures from today's gathering.

Dean....nice to meet you. Glad you could join us. Sweet 328. Sorry we didn't get a chance to chat.

Joined with Frank and Peter for a parade through Hartford's little Italy. An absolute hoot. We seemed to cause quite the stir. Something about Italian cars parading through an Italian neighborhood, on an Italian holiday. We garnered a lot of attention. Or maybe it was Peter doing burnouts. (He hates those tires). A firetruck was behind us and kept chirping his siren. Scared me everytime. I kept checking my mirrors for the dreaded flashing blue lights.

I (like always) neglected to bring my camera. Thousands of shots of our cars were taken. We just don't know any of those people. I was saddened to learn that the parade organizers neglected to provide bimbo's. Sure would have looked cool sticking out of my targa roof.

The Vette gathering was massive by Ferrari standards. There were near 450 cars. Only trouble was...ya seen one...ya seen em all. Some real nice older models but really mostly C4's, C5's, and C6's. Kinda funny really. The only differance between the cars was the colors and minor after market mods.

My friend has a beautiful C5. He says he's about ready to cash it in. I'm trying to talk him into a 308 but I'm pretty sure he's gonna go Z06 or ZR1. To bad really. He'd make a great owner, very detail oriented.

I'm sure praying for good weather next week and I promise to bring the camera. A cruise into the Mass wilderness should be awesome. A Nero car with yellow highlights should look specatular amongst the fall folliage. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=216570

I'm hoping we all planned ahead and can make it. I wouldn't want the Southborough chat group to out number us.

The Parade was a fun last minute thing, Many attractive women were calling Lane "poppi" he was the belle of the ball for sure....
