    Thank you guys.
Here is some photos that Paul asked for from the emblem.
It is interesting how ivory leather changes from a golden color to off white light beige when light changes intensity.
The carpets are dark red color
These photos where taken today under natural lighting .
I wonder if there is any other Boxers with my color combo?
I have the build sheets from the factory when the car was ordered in this specific combo.

    Beautiful Boxer.

Any photos of the car in its original paint; viola dino?

I don't know if I've ever seen a boxer in that exterior color combination.

No, I have no pictures from the car in that color.
I was totally purple metallic. I found the color every wear on the car.
Even the metal frames and chassis was painted Viola Dino
When it was put up for auction in Gstaad in 1998 it was already red/black.

According to the BB register in the book of Nathan Beehl about the Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer the car
is registered in North Carolina .
It was imported to Switzerland in 1988 and remained in the same ownership until 1998.
It came to the Netherlands in 2001
I own it from may 2007.

I am stil searching for the history of the car in the USA.
According to the register of Nathan Beehl it is situated in North Carolina.
On the back of the Blauwpunkt radio that was in the car was a sticker from a
    company called: international motorcars corporation
    P.O. box 2441
    Jackson MS 39205
With the date on it : nov.- 16- 1981.

So the car must have spent some time in the USA.
It is not converted for American environmental laws. It is still in its original European (Swiss) state .

Hey Maarten! We should get together some time when my Boxer is back on the road (she was picked up from the Netherlands yesterday back to the UK to sort out some electrical problems), would be nice to see a couple of red Boxers together. You can see plenty pics of my car here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=214350

Interesting story about your Boxer - it's a colour I also have never heard about. There are two purples recorded (with pics) in this resource: http://www.dinorestoration.com/resources/dinocolors/ but it doesn't state Viola Dino.

and your Viola Dino colour code is listed here: http://www.eurospares.co.uk/userImages/ebayShop/PaintCode.htm

    Groeten,

    Onno

    P.S. She looks great, BTW.

I understand that 12 of the 58 365BB's delivered to the UK were Dino Blu. Mine was one of them. I took my car over to Holland on the ferry a month ago - great fun. An epic European trip, Maranello - London for instance, I must do with that car one of these days. If it stops breaking down, I will!

@Buzz - I wish I had been wearing my shades before seeing that! I think Viola is much darker - bit more an eggplant colour, isn't it?

Out of the 387 Boxers (365 GT4 BB) built a total of 32 were originally painted Blu Dino 106-A-72.
The first one was #17185, for Maranello Concessionaires Ltd., completed 15th June 1973.
The second one was #17401 for W. H. Lowe in Melbourne, Australia, completed 5th October 1973.
The third one was #17535, completed 4th January 1974.
The last of the 32 Boxers painted Blu Dino was #18995, completed 27th February 1976, delivered to SAVAF Geneva, Switzerland.

And there was just one (1) 365 GT4 BB originally painted Verde Germoglio 20-G-465, #18959, completed 2nd April 1976, delivered new to German importer Auto-Becker.

    Marcel,

This is a long shot but with your knowledge, who knows !Do you have any info on a 512 BBi that was owned by my father, Eduardo Menasce, in 1985 in Paris, he bought it from the then Honda Dealer in Paris, Called Japauto. It was silver with black leather interior , and black lower body. He sold the car to a friend of his who had it repainted full red ( even the spoiler ).

    Thanks in any case !

    Andrew

by the way there is a picture of my car (CN 17799) on page 58 of this book showing then owner michael vernon taking it round the track(?which).you can see the flared rear arches covering the
11inch wheels.apparently vernon had this done in the mid 70's-i've heard one story that he had the car sent back to the factory & another that it was done by maranello concessionaires & that the engine was blueprinted at the same time-also apparently fitted with 512 gearbox.would love to talk to mr vernon about it!

Well, Michael Vernon owned a bunch of serious competition Ferraris including a 312 PB #0880 and a 500/625 Formula 2 single-seater (#54/1). That was back in 1980-1982.
