Just found this thread. I sold my 308 last month and am now working on my 67 GTX. Been in the family since new. Purchased in my mothers name by my older brother when he was 16. I took the window sticker of when I was 13. Car is a 440 4 speed Dana. It was parked in my brothers garage since 1982. He gave it to me after Katrina. His house was on the westbank and only had minor street flooding.

Any other MOPAR owners out there?

Engine was rebuilt in 78 and cosmetic restoration back then. I am going to repaint it WW1 white and restore the interior to copper.

I have always loved that body style, especially the rear roofline...but,

Wow - are you sure you really want to make that radical a color change?

Just another question, anybody please - what was the difference between a Satellite and a GTX?

That was the original color combo. The color change was done in the late 70's. GTX was the top of the line in 67. Satellite was the next lower model.

Look at the invoice. 20% down and 36 payments. Without getting too P&R, there is a lot relearn in regards to money management from the old days.

Cool GTX! I love the TA also. I had a friend that had a 70 AAR. I used to ride in that thing everywhere. He had bought it for $1400 back in 1983. I currently have a 69 Superbee, 383 4speed 3.55 air grabber. It's still a project car, but still pretty neat.

    Hey Gerard!

I am not too far from you!!! I am over in New Orleans...

For some unknown reason, I have developed a musclecar bug and I have been looking for about a month now.

I LOVE Mopars, but I have been having a hard time hooking up with Mopar guys in this area...I have been looking for a 68 or 69 Charger, but I have had issues finding one around here that is not a General Lee knock off.

Your car looks great. Hopefully I will see you around sometime...I am always going to the dragstrip in Biloxi...

1970 GTX HEMI 426 4spd blue/black/white, air-grabber hood, all options, all original, all paperwork, all decodes, original owner is my buddy since the 70's and I'm just waiting until he decides I can buy it from him. I've known the car and worked on it since the early 70's. Has the license plate "HEMI" and is my favorite muscle car. If memory serves, one of only 43 made. No idea how many survive to date totally original, but not many I'm guessing.

Nice car, 67 GTx's are one of my favorite....then again I love them all. It's cool to have all that documentation, I have broad cast sheets and dealer invoices on most of my Mopars. P.S I love the old vintage photos.

Here is some more info on the car.
I have the temp registration, invoice, mortage paperwork, waranty book, window sticker, payment book, business card of the salesman, owners manual, carb ID tag and first license plate. The car has always been registered and I have all the registrations and most of the plates.
