Well I am off to vegas tomorrow morning. Going down for the 1st Annual Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction at the Mandalay Bay Going to be real intresting to see what happens.... Good deals, the same, no deals...will let you all know. I HAVE TO KEEP MY HANDS IN MY POCKET SO I DO NOT BID!! LOL LOL
If Amy has this look on her face, and you have this look on your face, chances are you got caught up in the BJ moment, and spent too much... Have fun, and pick your machines wisely... -Tad Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oh boy, the "lets see what Roy brought back from the BJ auction" is growing. All kidding aside, I figure that you will bring at least one rig back that will get one of the PNW brigade excited enough to dig out a bit of cash.
I'm going to do the opposite instead! I'm going to say BUY BUY BUY! Keep our economy going, Roy! Seriously aside, have fun in Vegas! I can't wait to hear your stories and see your pictures. We're all living the high life vicariously through you! Jason
I was just looking at the cars that are down in Vegas at Barrett Jackson. As usual, its about 95% American. A quick search yielded no Maserati's or Lamborghini's during all three days. Only 2 Ferrari's show up (a F-355 F1 at todays show) and a Mondial on Saturday. That's it. Mike
There's some bizzare cars at this one. Don't do anything I wouldn't do Roy, well............. maybe you should do some things I wouldn't!!
Okay, Roy. I just saw you buy a Corvette. What else are you buying? I think this is the car. http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/search/carlist_Details.aspx?&In_LotNumber=181
That is Funny Kevin, i just spotted Roy looking at a 64 GTO he was wearing his Lambo Jacket. SO ROY YOU HAVE BEEN SPOTTED........................
He was also wearing it when he bought the vette. They're selling a Ferrari F-355 later today. I wonder if we'll see it in the Seattle area before long.
Now, it's a yellow 'vette. Roy's turning into a Chevy dealer now. http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/search/carlist_Details.aspx?&In_LotNumber=187
Hey nothing wrong with the older Vette's. i doubt that he will give up his Lambo's. I wonder what Roy will sell those for? it is cool to see someone you know buying cars on TV.
He's getting some pretty fair deals. I have no doubt that he'll make money on them. You're right, the older vettes and muscle cars are really valuable these days. Plus, they're just plain cool.
Hey Roy check out item #795.1 1966 corvette 427 any idea what it goes for? we can work a trade for a certain 550 into the deal
The 355 went for $87,500+ http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/search/carlist_Details.aspx?&In_LotNumber=220
WOW! That is amazing! I know that Park Place were the folks selling that car. They had it listed up here for $89,950.00, couldn't move it so they dropped it down to $79,950.00. STILL couldn't sell it, so they decided to take it down there and see if they could unload it! Wonder how the new buyer will feel to know he could have bought up here in Washington for nearly $10K cheaper as well as not having to pay the Barrett fee too? http://www.parkplaceltd.com/inventoryDisplay.aspx?s=blank_detail&year=1999&make=Ferrari&model=F355%20F1%20SPIDER&inv=282&vin=ZFFXR48A6X0116226&total=6&pos=2¤t=1&size=50 Mike
HILARIOUS!!! I saw it also. Roy loved how you looked at the camera, gave thumbs up and winked. Meaghan and I were laughing our a$$ off! Nice pick up on the Vette!
I'm sorry I missed it... I caught the show towards the end. Was looking forward to seeing the hammer drop for Roy. Hammer
Was that Roy who just bought that 1961 Austin-healey 3000 Bt7 Roadster and those two camaro's or was it somone who looks similar to him. haha
It's him and then he bought the camaro right behind it. I thought you wanted somebody to stop you Roy? Way to help the failing economy out!!
Haha I think he is!! You'd better stop now Roy, just because you told us to tell you to stop. If you get a chance, go for a 67 Corvette with a 427.. one of the nicest Corvettes ever Imo.
Is anyone doing the Fantasy Bids? I bid 110000 on the Mustang coming up. (edit) I think I was way off...
That's why I don't consider Barrett-Jackson the "real" world. I've seen countless cars go for WAY WAY more than they could possibly be worth because: A) People get caught up in the moment. B) My ego is bigger than ego C) My wallet is bigger than your wallet D) WOW! I'm on TV! E) I've had too much to drink, Amy is really cute and I want a hug when I win the car............ F) ....................and the ONLY good reason to overpay, CHARITY. (Like Funk Master Flex's Mustang that sold for 300k)
