Couple of questions 'bout the car in the pics. Are those Porsche style mirrors Vitaloni's also? Any better vision w/them? The front bumper, the grill work in the vents, only on 400 series? or all euro bumpers? What are the made of? Thanks in advance. H
Hi again, In 1983, these 2 Countach's and a Jalpa were seen in Monaco during the G.P weekend. The red/cream Jalpa was used as a Voiture Intervention with red&blue lights. Car has Bologna plates BO-880741. Ruote O.Z stickers. The red/black Countach 5000 S was also fitted with the red&blue lights. No plates. Could have been a factory owned car as well.. Also Ruote O.Z. stickers. The perfect white/white Countach 5000 S with rear wing had plates BO-950425, Emilian Auto stickers. Not sure if this car was used for the Grand Prix. Ciao! You're welcome! Nothing compared to the energy you put in these threads, highly appriciated Joe! Ciao! Marcello PS: Any info on the Monaco 1980 cars?
Hi all, Sad enough, in 1984 no more Lamborghini's were used as pace cars. I saw a Ferrari Mondial with the red&blue lights this time....bummer... Here are some pictures.. So if Joe is correct, from 1980 to 1983 Lamborghini's were used as pace cars in Monaco during the Grand Prix weekends. Ciao! hi Marcello i like them even if i think the proto looked 10 times better than the production car , i also like the fact ferruccio was involved in the beginning of the EB birth some years ago i talked with a former lambo engineer (Molinari i think...) that worcked also at the EB project in his words the EB was a nice advanced project but REALLY complicated, he said to me: there are way too many things under this body...... i do not envy the guy that would need some worcks to be done on one of those..... he told me he loved the 4 liter countach engine Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Carsinxs, the front bumper grills i believe are in all the Countach's from the 400s series through the 4 valve cars. I believe they are made out of aluminum, one of the experts here could probably give you the absolute facts here though.
i think he was...may be my memory is not helping me with the name : he talked with me about the Alfieri 5 liter engines and the last evolution in 4V form
Hi everyone, Here is a picture taken from Michel Levy's Autodrome Bulletin #16 in which there is an fantastic interview of Paolo Stanzani about the birth of the EB110. You can see: - Romano Artioli - Jean-Marc Borel - Ferruccio Lamborghini - Paolo Stanzani - Marcello Gandini Image Unavailable, Please Login
1120036 is now for sale at Fantasy Junction described as "Perhap the worlds best...". Asking $550k. Still red with cream. Original colors light yellow with brown... Image Unavailable, Please Login
hi Joe, i was talking with him and he told me the 4 liter engine is not to really be considered a Bizzarrini worck....unfortunatly the guys from Japan magazines stoled him from me before i could ask why.... he agreed the vertical carburetted 3.5 liter of the GTV was his worck, i wonder if there are really SOOOO much differences btw these 2 engines
Definatly an extraordinary car however I suspect that the current owner sees the cusp of the wave and wants to get out before the market crashes. A wise move IMO however probably 6 months late.
Non-standard mounting points, using 5-litre Countach mirrors. However the seller's Ad suggests a set of correct-spec Sebrings come with the car.
Darn shame if it is true that the car has only 100 miles since the restoration. I love originallity but would never trade it up for driving and piling on the mileage. That is why I would never own a time capsule car (too valuable for what I like classic cars for). Restored cars will always be restored so their restoration is nothing more than maintenance performed all at once.
I'm not sure if he sold it to Fantasy Junction or he is having them try and sell it for him. Perhaps he should be the one to answer that question if he cares to - he was on this thread when he wanted production information on the car earlier this year.
Yes, you are correct. Vom letzten Platz gestarted, kämpfte er sich noch aufs Treppchen ;-) Here's a bonus picture I took (off topic, sorry) Ciao! Marcello Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice! Many thanks for the bonus photo. Your post is NOT off topic, because I own a Countach LP400 and I am a Tyrrell enthusiast, too
