I'm taking my girlfriend there thiss weekend for our 1 year anniversary. I've been there numerous times and she lives in Long Island so we know all about the usual stuff. I was just wondering if there were any cool things going on there right now that we might find interesting/romantic

    Thanks!

Maybe not terribly unique but they just opened one of the skating rinks (Wollman maybe?) which chics always find romantic.

Yeah. I was thinking about ice skating. Anyone know if the rockefeller rink is open right now? I'd think its too hot for ice right now...

If it's open, the rooftop sculpture garden of the MET museum of art is a cool place to enjoy some wine and watch the sun set over the treetops of central park. Definitely romantic if not too crowded.

It's more of a place to hang out but there is a small bar.

If your going to be on LI anyway, the Oyster Bay oyster festival is a nice diversion. It's Friday night, Saturday and Sunday with fireworks Saturday night.
