I would be surprised if someone here has tried it. :)

If I was settled in house I would definitely do it. Beats a sauna.

I've talked to about a dozen people so far that have tried/owned it, so far everyone has had positive things to say. I want to hear both sides of the story but I can't find negative first hand experience or haven't heard them referred to as overrated in anyway shape or form.

I found one I can try but it's about 5 hours from me.

Maybe but it serves as an anchor that helps focus your mind, which is the goal in meditation

you can have the music on for 10 or 20 minutes or whatever then have it shut off and be on your own

Oh, I thought we were talking about Sensory Deprivation tanks. The goal is to deprive you entirely of all of your senses. Touch is deprived by using an exact salt/water mixture of some sort. Sight is deprived by removing all light, there is no smell and nothing to hear inside the tank :)

Sounds like your talking about a meditation tank. I believe it's a different thing.

Tried one not too long ago. It made me a little sea sick, so if you get sea sick on a boat I wouldn't recommend it. I would definitely try one before you buy one. I floated for an hour. I couldn't seem to break through, but I did it sober. I can see how if you were on something you might be able to get somewhere. Go check out Joe Rogan on You Tube. He has one.

    Very interesting stuff these things!

I've been thinking about making one, or maybe going in with a few buddies and buying one.

Would definitely exponentiate the psychedelic experience.
