Depends. Some days it makes me feel pretty freaking poor. Some days, inspirational. This guy also has a 550 apparently, because I see that on the rainy days. RMX
I've actually thought about this. I have the building next door to his for sale. So what do I do, go in and ask about the F40? Introduce myself and say I have the building next door for sale and then ask? It's a little strange, talking to non FChat Fcar owners and telling them I'm on FChat. The first question I usually get is: "which Ferrari do you have?" When I say "none", I get a weird look or response. It's typically embarrassing. They look even more puzzled when I say I pay to be here. RMX
I understand your plight. A person either "gets it" or they don't. I've had minimal success recruiting new members, even my customers. A creative approach is required with a segue into "have you ever been to FerrariChat.com?" Tell him about the Super Ferrari Forum and all the owners and enthusiasts that post there. Quite a bit of detailed information about one of Ferrari's most celebrated Supercars.
it's Remix:Hey do you know PAP 348? Him/Her:No Remix: You're missing out, come join F-chat, and share your F40 with the world, and give us all rides.
Mine too. No matter how many more faster cars are built now days. The F1 is still the best in my books. I agree. Seeing an F1 in person would make me tear up inside. Seeing an F1 on the road would make me faint...I seriously would follow it until it stopped....even if I was on my way to my own wedding.
thank you for the info on the car Peloton. After reading the first post, I was hoping I would scroll down and see a post by you with some info on the car.
The car was actually a very dark metallic blue. It was chassis #022. Here's a pair of photos: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login That car's original owner was Dr Thomas Bscher, a German banker who still owns a pair of F1 GTRs that he raced from 1995-1998 in the BRP and FIA GT series. You may recall Mr Bscher also recently held the position of President of Bugatti Automobile during the time the Veyron was released. Wyclef had the interior of chassis #022 redone in white leather when he bought it, and the wheels were polished for that "bling" effect. His care and maintenance of the car while it was in his possession was apparently not all that great though, so when it was sold to it's new owner for a rather low (relatively speaking) price of $1.2M in late 2004, it's new owner, Miles Collier, had the car sent back to the McLaren factory in Woking for a complete refit, costing a reported $300,000. The car is now light green in color with a medium brown interior. Here's an article that Miles wrote about the car for SCM following a trip he and his wife took in it: http://www.sportscarmarket.com/articles/archives/860 >8^) ER
wow...from rolling jewelry to million dollar camp-mobile...interesting life for an f1 and what version of the four season's song is he listening to ???
Then I saw the Loch Ness monster muzzled and being ridden by Elvis. I have seen 3 seperate McLaren F1's... one parked and the 2nd and 3rd were 2 F1's racing each other down the highway, and one of them was an F1 LM! And I bet just from that info and my location, Peloton knows all three of the F1's I am talking about LOL
I did that with a 512 BB back in '89 and would do the same if I saw an F1. I'm a car guy and so are they so that's enough reason for me LOL.
Some prefer to use a different "S" word to describe my passion for the F1. The last two are fairly obvious - Black F1 chassis #007, Orange LM chassis LM3 - both belonging to Frank Selldorff at the time you got your little highway show. The first one is most likely Herb Chamber's silver F1, chassis #044, given your location, but perhaps you took a trip to London at some point and saw #065 or #042 in the Park Lane Showroom? >8^) ER
