Not to hijack the thread but you have the most gangstah GT2 I have ever seen, pictures of your car and the Scud on the empty highway flash before my eyes when I day dream sometimes :), the rear quarters of the car with the vents are to die for, so amazing. White is the perfect color for the car.

I agree... By the way, I suggest black rims on his white GT2. What do you think?

If life were easy that would be no fun. I like your outlook Tarek. Best wishes of this Enzo or one in the future.

I was watching his GT2 in Porsche section and the black wheels would be realy interesting.

I must say with all big respect to Mike that he seems to me like " i have money and will eat you all" , just my feeling coming from his posts. So i would wish the car for Tarek.

Time for a commercial break, so lets review:

ZiadR shares with the community a red Enzo sits abandoned in customs quarantine in Beirut.

Tarek K says he is going to go see it and if all is well, he is gonna pull the trigger.

Details about the car's mechanical condition, legal ownership status, exportability etc are all shrouded in mystery. Vultures are seen circling above.

Icemanbops chimes in and cuts in front of Tarek K betting with the community-at-large that not only will he will get this car, but he has been in many deals, and cash is king (the last part most of us have already established).

A man called Rafi offers this car to me. He says he is spinning plates and he suggests I better make a move before one of the plates drops. I reject his offer.

Breaking news: AP and ZiadR are reporting that in fact Icemanbops is not buying the car as he had bragged after all, but another mysterious figure, "Ziad" (for purposes of this report we shall refer to him hereinafter as Ziad 2) is in fact the one who is buying the abandoned Enzo.

Tarek K refers to Ziad 2's actions as "extremely low".

ZiadR suggests this somehow makes sense since Ziad 2 already has a yellow Enzo (go figure).

More on this developing story as soon as it breaks.

Hey, I just read the news. Dont shoot the messenger!!

    Crazy Prediction:

Tarek will buy the Enzo through Ziad R
Ziad 2 will offer more to take it off his hands, and then buy it from Tarek
Mike will offer even more and buy it from Ziad 2 because "cash is king"

Ziad R will get a hefty commission and get a GT-R for cash.

    Everyone will be happy. :D

    Gentlemen

Just thought I would put some fun and banter into this thread.

Don't know Tarek, he seems a cool guy with cool toys and is a resected member of F-Chat, as a point of principle would be respectful no reason not to be. I actually before posting my teaser sent him a pm just to say good luck with the purchase and as long as it goes to a good home then it can only be a good thing.

No arrogance meant in the teaser, if taken that way apologies.

Will I get it, we will see. It deserves to be in a better place than it is at the moment. Will we get it out of there, no thats the $600,000 question.

    Regards

    Mike

Time will reveal whether this Enzo really is for sale etc.

This thread does expose a real issue though. I'm all for free markets/capitalism etc, but I think there should be an unspoken gentlemanly rule between fchat members vying for a car. Tarek expressed clear interest in it, and Mike comes in later with wallet flying....

Is it just me or should Tarek have fair crack at it without interference from a fellow fchat member ?

Maybe I'm all wrong here, but it just seems a tad unsavoury.

The real question, my friendly neighborhood Jas, is when are you going to replace that 1:18 Enzo with a full scale example...? :)

    Gentlemen

I take offense in having my integrity questioned. Therefore as a matter of fact I am withdrawing my interest in the Lebanon car. I wonder if either of you would have done the same thing? I guess we will never know.

Probability is that the car will now stay in Lebanon for a lot longer. The thing is it is not the money that will release this car it is the contacts in this complicated part of the world. I guess Ziad can send you year on year pictures.

As a believer in free markets and capitalism, thats exactly what I am going to concentrate on from now on!!

I am also withdrawing from F-chat as an active participant, it should be a forum that shares and involves and invokes enthusiasts of this very special marque. I have given a number of inside lines as to new cars coming into production and many insights into cars I own. However I am getting tired of defending myself, I shall just enjoy the cars I have and the many on order.

    Good luck Tarek.

    Bye guys.

    Mike

If I were in the position of buying this vehicle AND I strongly felt I was well within my rights as a respectful person to purchase the car I would never withdraw my attempt to buy it. Especially not because of a couple of internet posts.

So let me understand this. You want the car. You believe you are not stepping on toes to get it. So you withdraw from the sale because of a few internet posts and then think it best to no longer post here actively? That is a shame and strikes me as a bit odd.

But then again, this whole thread is odd! :)

Mike I'm sorry to read that you are taking this stance, and although you probably won't read this post I'd just like to say that I think you are over reacting a tad. The simple fact is a forum like this requires all types of enthusiasts from all walks of life. Clearly as an owner of multiple Ferrari's and other great marques you are an individual who can add great value and your input is always appreciated, as is Tarek's and many others.

It seems to me that your ire has been raised because a few people reacted to your earlier "cash is king" post, which you subsequently clarified as adding a bit of good humoured banter to the thread. I too was a little surprised by your initial post as I felt it was out of character for you, having read many of your posts in the past; but once you clarified it then I was fine with it; as was Tarek (and the many others who didn't post a comment).

The most important thing here is the Enzo and its need to be in a far better place than it is. Whether it is yourself, Tarek or another enthusiast I think we can all agree on that. Let's stick to helping the victim be rescued and try not to let the small things get under our skin. At the end of the day we share a common desire even if we can't agree on anything else.

    Derek
