yess finally finished 17 pages of a great story...lots of great characters and lots of comedy. Joes reports was my favorite.

 

nice first post. i joined a couple of months ago and have found countless interesting and ever-changing threads on ferrari chat that always provide interesting and insightful commentairies. enjoy your time here and hopefully it will last longer than icemanbops's lol

Update:

ZiadR fails to post on Thursday and it is thought that he is far too busy organizing an auction.

Fastviper posts that he is hearing typewriters. Not to be outdone, by contrast Shahedc posts that he is hearing keyboards. Bizarre.

JoeV chimes in and makes a blatant reference to Pap's "hairy glory". Yikes. This is crossing the line, and graphic mental images put many off the thread.

Inseachoflivingnirvana posts that he is hooked. Wrong place, man. Therapy is down the hall.

Riquede posts that this thread is "unreal". Nobody disagrees.

Big Tex (Bubba) jumps in with a rambling post likely made after a few cocktails. He refers to "George Foreman", then an "F40", and then a "stinky smell". Nobody knows what he is talking about or what that has to do with getting an abandoned Enzo out of Beirut.

Classic Ferrari (moderator) checks in and fearing bans and/or a thread shutdown everyone behaves as normal. Shhhhh. He wishes Tarek K luck, and everyone carries on as if nothing has happened.

At 3:28pm Pap348 finally checks in and boldly confesses that the beard, the hot-pants, and the hairy legs are "all MINE!". He chooses F-Chat as the venue for 'coming out' admitting that he has used his not inconsiderable "Aussie Charm" (his words) to cast Ziads 1+2 under his spell. Thankfully he spares us any further details! In order to further protect his interest in the abandoned Enzo he plays the "INTERNET card" on Icemanbops, who is still in self-imposed exile. The consensus is that Pap cannot be trusted.

Murph suggests that the pic of Tarek K's boat shows the crew chief being seasick after reading all 18 pages of this thread! Tarek K comes on and affirms (in code) that the crew chief is "checking out the ropes" (marine-speak for being seasick). Many wonder why Tarek doesn't just say the guy is being seasick... jeez.

JDM-NZ chimes in stating that F-Chat is an amazing place, and that he loves the world. He advises that Tarek K not forget his camera. Tomorrow he will 'just say no'.

Vahidpooyan makes his first ever post after reading all 18 pages of the thread without being sick. Unfortunately the damage will be lasting... welcome aboard, but note that this thread is not an accurate reflection of F-Chat. In fact its far worse.

Big.bryant makes a comment regarding Icemanbops that mirrors sentiments on other threads where he (Icemanbops) is being requested to "grow a pair". It is being speculated that the pair of 599s, and pair of Enzos make up for his shortcomings and accordingly it is unlikely that he will be able to meet the many requests.

Palmer8 wishes Tarek K luck, which he will need in even greater supply than the chances of his 430 turning into a 2009 Enzo complete with Classiche Certification. But Tarek is a true gent and will take it all in stride.

I will be busy over the next few days and accordingly I may have to have Classic Ferrari or someone to PM me if anything breaks...

 

I could of sworn I just saw a few of Joe's headlines on the foxnews ticker..although the words *ALERT* and *TERROR* were used next to the PAP348 headline

 

markets crashed today everyone selling their stocks...........cashing in the leftovers to go and hunt for the enzo ?

 

I have just read through this entire thread!! its taken hours!!

I hope that its a true story & Tarak gets his Enzo! Now this is where i come in -

If you do get it drop me a PM i will love to get my hands on it, living in Monaco you see a few Enzos knocking around.

What i do & have done for the last 14 years is detail exotic cars, private jets, helicopters & yachts for the rich (will not name people so dont ask) i will make it look like a shiney new pin! ive been known to spend a week on one car (Lambo Muira SV) making it look like new, Piccys can be suplied but here is a teaser!



The entire engine was done with a tooth brush, the body work machined several times & waxed 10 times over a period, everything that was visible is/was detailed.

Is the car actually for sale and from whom, the Govt?

When is the auction if there is one?

Can anyone enter this auction? If so, can you provide details?

Everybody else, I think you are all getting far too worked up about this car. Tarek said it himself that numerous attempts have been made in the past to procure this car and all attempts have failed. This is what i believe will happen here. I am very dubious that the car was posted as a sort of abandoned car and then suddenly appears to be for sale within a matter of a week or so, AFTER 3 YEARS, talk about coincidence. I doubt the car is even for sale and if it is, the price will be alot higher than people think.

As for the priority of who has the 1st right of purchase. I really cant believe that this had been made an issue. Tarek mentioned something first then Mike but I dont really think that gives Tarek priority about buying a car that NO-ONE knows anything about, this was made into an issue when it shouldnt have been. The fact that numerous attempts to buy it have been made in the past, well does that mean that those interested parties have precedence over Tarek therefore all this is a waste of time? I think not. Whoever has the most pennies will be able to buy this car, should it even be for sale.

As for Mike leaving, it is a real shame. We have lost many contributors here, call Mike what you want but he was still a contributor and opened many folks eyes with his cars. I remember him from more or less just under a year ago, he returned recently and certain idiot members questioned his substance, total fools, going in all guns blazing. This place is sometimes an absolute joke, some members are absolute w4nkers in the way they behave and should be ashamed of themselves.

Remember LV Eric (Dot-hater)?, the same happened to him, he shared his passion of cars, had numerous idiots question his authenticity, mainly cos he couldnt spell and he left for a year. He came back as LV Eric, people suddenly forgot about the garbage he had received in the past and all of a sudden were falling at his feet. Where is he now eh???

Sometimes people should think before they act. I make mistakes dont get me wrong but some folk on this board are just plain stupid and ignorant.

I hope someone proves me wrong with this car but i just think everybodies (probably not Tareks though) expectations are too high.

Just voicing my opinion. I hope folks on this thread dont actually expect a sale is going to go through. Just serves as a interesting distrction from the day to day really. Especially with curbs in place for futures trading and the dow down 383 as I write this. I for one hope it continues as I watch my parents nest egg wither away.

As for Mike, in viewing the 2008 Enzo thread, I was the last person to write before he got offended and left. Certainly unintional on my part. And the first time I believe I even posted in the Super Ferrari area, as I do not currently own one. I will say this. As I metoined, I will post pcitures of eveything that I own by next week. Not just photos that people can pluck of off the web. But all my stuff in front of my houses. Including a redacted copy of the title, proving I owe all of my stuff outright. As silly and overdone as I believe this to be, I do agree that the interest is the ultimte fantasy forum and people from all over the world can post here. I welcome anyone to call me and speak to me. For my part there is a reason I became interested in this thread. It was when Icemanbops jumped in bragging about his capabilities and what he was going to do.

I think your reference to people who "disappear" like the aforementioned is that they come on F-Chat and they FLAUNT their flavor-of-the-month possessions, loving the adulation they they from some in return. A groundswell of doubt develops amongst the discerning, as if often the case against people who brag and show off with what they have/what they are going to get/what they have on order/what car they brought home today, ad nauseum. The fact that they choose to buckle under the growing sentiment says everything about them, and confirms the doubts that some have that all their stuff is leveraged, or might not all belong to them.

The bottom line is, there is always someone richer than you, with more cars than you. I have a client with 290 cars. But I know someone else (not my client) who has more cars than my client. HE has 750 cars. Fact. So rather than be like a cheap lady who leaves nothing to the imagination, its cool to be a bit discreet and not post ALL your wares & possessions. You might as well go ahead and also tell everyone how many homes you have and how much you have in our checking account and in your savings account etc.

So Matt, its not that people are necessarily behaving badly towards these members. Its just that people get tired of all the bragging and showing off, and they have every right to question.

Joe, You are right. Always someone richer than you. But after careful thought, I have no problem proving what I have or who I am. I am proud of what I have accomplished. Not boasting. From my perspective, not really much to boast about. But I do think people are entitled to know that you are real. To know who they are spending time communicating with. I joined this sight for one reason initially. Information about my two cars. As I find myslef becoming more of a Ferrari addict, I am curious who people are around here. For example, in my five months I feel I already know who thinks like me and demographically who is probably similar to me just by reading feedback. This is valuable as I go to make future decsions.

Incidentally Joe, You do inpress me as someone who knows their s**t. So I pay more attention when you contibute.

The whole conversation around how much we make/net worth, etc... I dont contribute to as I feel its not their business. But heck, you want to judge me on my rides, houses, go ahead. But I hope you dont feel you know anything more about me in a business negociation or a night out at dinner.
